Not sure when the video will go up, but our panel was really well recieved despite how nervous we all were.

Also, I said Qara was a monster. Jokingly. Mostly :P (sorry qara)

More at 11, or whenever the video is uploaded.

Oh, I see how it is, Connor. You're the one who's all gung-ho to kill my friend, but I'm the monster.

That is absolutely correct, Qara. Player's don't have feelings, only our fictional characters do! =)

Oh, also...

PART ONE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDPSAf7Cbj0

PART TWO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zzWiNYDCBk (Still processing, but I got impatient. You can deal with the cliffhanger)

BAM

Funny and awesome and heartwarming! *is inordinately happy* Also, shout-out to my Memorial Thread at the end!

Of course, now I'm curious as to what Rick told that guy who asked about ARG-jacking.

YAY! That was terrific!

:D

I'm curious though, could we maybe see the PowerPoint slides? The tops were cut off, so it's not clear what the text was on some of them and I'd like to be able to read it all. Even though I know it all came from stuff we've seen... I'd still like to see the full PowerPoint slides if possible.

These are the slides.

We tried to pick quotes that got to the root of our talk. We weren't just giving a talk on TWWF, we were trying to use TWWF as an example of how to build a game that responds to player choices. So all of these examples were chosen to demonstrate the way the game responded to player input. And there were a lot of cool things that we wanted to add, but I just didn't have time to crop and modify in photoshop.

What I'm trying to say is, don't worry if you didn't get quoted here, you're still cool and we love you.

If you're curious as to my part about attempted game-jacking; that's discussion of rEALITY, and you'll see it when my presentation goes up on YouTube.

Part 2 seems to get cut off kind of abruptly. Is there more?

Still, I very much enjoyed what's there.

There was about 5-10 minutes that got cut off (including a shout-out to you guys for the recap page and another to my wife), but I don't know if Eric has that.

I'd kinda like to see that if at all possible for completion's sake, but I understand if that video got lost.

Incidentally, were all the panels filmed, or was this something that you just got done for your panels?

Most of the panels had someone behind a camera, but I have no idea whether any of the video is publicly available.

Oh, hey, one last little bonus bit, for those interested:

One thing that's an ARGfest tradition is to do a mini-ARG on the last day called FestQuest. This year, it was surrounding a mysterious circus called Sawtooth Circus that we were trying to prove worthy of joining. They divided us into teams, and we wandered around Seattle to prove our worthiness.

As it turned out, Jack and I ended up on the same team, which led to the quote in this tweet. It was a great team overall - no infighting, great cooperation, and we combined to have the skills to handle the challenge readily (in fact, due to various factors, we finished ahead of the team who started before us).

I bring this up mostly because they've posted a few pics from it on Flickr, just so we have proof that there's at least one point where one of the puppetmasters from this ARG worked with one of the players.

Team 3, group shot. You'll note me in trademark Hawaiian shirt and hat, second from left; Jack is in the green shirt, far left.

And at the end, with us victorious. This time, Jack and I are flanking, because we must watch all in our care. (Also, for the logic behind that particular spot - the last puzzle involved us trying to find the circus ringmaster following only some photographs taken as clues. A closeup of the 62/63 in that sign was the last photograph clue.)
