Revealing (some of) our assets
Posted: Sun Aug 11, 2013 10:57 amSo I'm going to be getting together a few things from the ARG and get permission to release them to you guys, because some of this stuff is awesome, some of it is hilarious, and some of it is just plain interesting!
The first couple of things I want to release are both from the recording where Morgan reficced Moriarty. I was the one who edited together that recording, though I was not the one who recorded the various parts. If you think it was bad listening to the final thing, imagine what it was like for me editing it.
With that in mind, allow me to introduce the first asset: One particular take of the kissing sounds. Yes, you've heard that before and most of it did actually end up in the final thing, but this one has a rather hilarious interlude which didn't. What is it? You'll have to listen to find out. >:D (Why yes, I am evil, thank you very much.)
The second is what I called the Refic Wind. Dana and Tom recorded several takes of themselves blowing past the microphone trying to sound like wind, and I did my best to edit it all together into what the script called for, which was, respectively, "A light wooshing sound. A breeze, perhaps.", "The breeze picks up into wind." and "The wind picks up into a mighty gale." I think I did a pretty good job, although if I did it again I'm not sure if I'd have the gale come in as suddenly as it does at 0:34.
I'm going to see if I can get more assets for you guys, so stay tuned.
[edit: And yes, I'm sorry that these are on Google Drive! I *think* you can get these without an account though. Let me know if that's not the case!]
[edit 2: By the way, I should point out that we're not, as of yet, releasing these under any sort of open or free-use licence, so please don't use these in anything you do. It's not that we've made an actual decision to do that, though - we simply haven't discussed anything like that so far. I just asked to get permission to show these to you guys. In other words: All rights are reserved for now.]
