The following day I had this exchange with Tom.
narrativedilettante wrote:WHY DID YOU PUT ALL OF THE ECHOES IN PLACES WITH NO PARKING?
Tom wrote:Haha
Tom wrote:I can't guarantee that one is even still there...
narrativedilettante wrote::-( Is there any way we could see it, then? Pretty please?
Tom wrote:Yeah I guess. It's honestly the worst one
Then today, he sent me the following email, with the attachment you see below.
Tom wrote:Remember that, for most of the Echoes, we were working with traditional comic book artists, with all that implies about the way women are portrayed in comics.
After the artist delivered this image, we sent back directions to change the costume to be a little more reasonable. Those directions were followed for the subsequent images, but we'd already paid for this one, and Eddie didn't want to pay again. Most of us found this image disappointing, so none of us were really sad when it was the only echo not found.
Though I can understand why the Puppet Masters weren't as pleased with this image as they were with the others, I am still VERY glad to finally get a hold of it. This whole thing was just hanging over me like so much unfinished business.
