Potential new forum skin?

Sorry that it's so long since I've done anything.
I've just enabled
http://watchthefootage.twwf.info/ , Joe's blog site. I haven't deleted the post-mortem entry, though I'm wondering if perhaps I should.
The site's also available at
http://wtf.twwf.info/ , for all your W, T, and F key-mashing needs.
Another thing I'm pondering: Should I give the active forums a different skin now that it's separate from the actual WTF forums? On the one hand, there's something to be said for familiarity, but it might be that a different skin might differentiate it a bit more. What do you think?

I personally would vote for keeping this skin because it is familiar and we love it and it is home and change is scary.
On a different but related note, could you fix the "Back to WTF" link that graces the top of the forum to link to watchthefootage.twwf.info? (or remove it, I guess, since my point is basically that right now it doesn't go anywhere)
ALSO: Soph you are wonderful and amazing and we love you thank you so much.

Fixed! I removed the link on the active forums. On the archived forums the link is automatically rewritten to the correct place anyway, so I'm leaving it there.

Aww, thank you! <3 I love you too.

I agree with Qara. I'm used to this skin and I'd rather not have it change.

I would personally welcome a change.

I wouldn't mind a change. It would mark the start of a new era for these fora, to go with the new arc in the Metaguard Saga.

I don't mind changing the forum's skin, though I'd rather have it stay as it is.
I'd need to see how would it look with the new skin to make a definite decision, though. Maybe the new skin will be really cool and awesome

I wouldn't mind if the forum's skin changed or not. Either way I'm ok with it.

A new arc? Suddenly the Metaguard Saga sounds like some awesome anime.

Add another vote for pro-change.

I suspect the solution to this will involve having two styles on the server and letting people choose between them in their
User Control Panel. That way, the style is never actually removed and people can still use it if they want to. Of course, that then raises the question of whether any new style would become the default or whether it becomes another choice. Does anybody have any preference one way or the other, given that both styles would still be selectable?
I'm going to talk with the rest of the team and see what they think, too.

Actually, I'm going to split this conversation out into a new thread.

I think that if there are two skins, with free choice between both, the default is arbitrary.

To an extent, yes, but it still affects you if you're logged out, because your choice of skin can only take effect when you're logged in.

I think the original should be the default, Idk. Makes more sense to me, at least.

The new one should be the default. It would allow casual viewers to distinguish between this forum and the archives, which is the point of getting one.
