Watch the Footage

Recently I tweeted Dana, asking if she could make a subforum for the Cultural Exchanges. This was her reply.

So yeah... What do you think? Would it help to put the Cultural Exchanges in a separate section of some sort, or not? And how would you guys like it?

In my opinion:
1. If we create a subforum for the CE threads, then that may invite other people to post their own, and it may also make the CE threads more active.
2. I really like Pixel's format idea, and it's a good way to get more in-depth about a certain culture.

I'm not sure if it's necessary-- after all, we have a handy index which ensures none of the threads will get lost.
On the other hand, if consensus is for it I certainly have no objections.

Um, I don't have any strong opinion on the matter.

7 topics Total. Not particularly active ones either. If we are keeping this format then it's unnecessary thanks to the index.

However, if we do get a CE subforum for this particular kind, we could be free to make dedicated topics in the format

• Brazil: Music.
• Brazil: Literature.
• Brazil: Food.

If we are to make it to work with that format, then yes, a subforum would be useful.

So, the question is, are we satisfied with keeping megathreads, or do we want to split up into dedicated threads?

I think it's fine the way it is right now, and an index seems a good way to keep track of all the CE posts. But anyway, if you guys want it that bad anyway, then I've got no objections...

Indexation is magic.
Although the amount of threads would get quite large if we were to split it up like that, so even if we wouldn't need the subforum for ease of search, it'd be useful to keep these threads out of the way of other projects which are mainly one-thread deals.

That said, I don't think we'll do the split up on the CE threads, so creating a subforum is unnecessary.
