I'm just shelving the whole issue of pieces for last, since from my perspective, it's the least essential part of the game.

Here’s a thought, guys, instead of the places you ‘buy’ being characters why not make it something RELATED to the characters? Adam’s Playhouse, for example. Angel’s lab?

It... does, for stuff, but I don't want to make this on that, partly because it's a little different from a standard Monopoly board, which is annoying, and partly because that does really nothing to help us play it together.

Also I'd really rather stick to the characters themselves-- you shouldn't get so hung up on the whole "buying" them, since first of all, our currency is forum posts, and second of all... it's Monopoly? It's not like we're 'buying' the character, so much as using the character's name in order to embed references in the game... and it would be really difficult to put in a "place" for each of the characters-- for example, The Regulator and Mr. A are both always based in the Void.

Well, I'm crazy. So here is a prototype Monopoly board!
This is NOT the finished thing, obviously-- for one thing, none of the images are there, plus the fonts are off and some things look bad due to Windows Paint's inability to invert text or images to go on a slant >_< (so if someone with more skillz than I wants to help make the board look pretty, I would greatly appreciate it). BUT it is the layout of where everything will be, so YAY.

I just have to say that the image of Mr. A in a jaunty top hat made my afternoon.

Not sure what else is left, beyond making the board prettier and discussing logistics. (And, yes, tokens, but it's kind of an irrelevant argument-- everyone can choose some relevant item/person as their own token, provided no one overlaps.)

Qara is obviously a brain. shane is a nuke, xana is a cup of coffee, scarab is a sketchpad, Adell is a half-melted phone, Pixel is a copy of alice in wonderland.... uh... Rota is a boomerang, JR is....something blue.
