Story Idea Thread
So, this is like the Idea Thread in the RP subforum, but this one's specifically for people to post up random story ideas they want to share or want people's opinion on. Here's to some awesome brainstorming guys!
Uh, I had this idea in the shower (because all the great ideas come in the shower). Say people are reincarnated after their death, but, as per regular mythology, don't remember their past lives, ie, they are a new person each life. Then there are the few who do remember their lives, the long chain of memory doesn't break for them (Required Secondary Power: Eidetic Memory). These are the Immortals (because they don't 'die' duh). Several Immortals have banded together in order to break this endless cycle of life and death, trying to break out of the circle and into what they call 'Final Heaven'. Other Immortals think that these guys are crazy and simply want to die. Either this creates a "save-the-world-before-they-blow-it-up" situation or Earth becomes intersected with another plane of existence, leading to awesomeness/death/monsters/post-apocalyptic wasteland/AU. The latter option is probably a whole other story by now
But yeah, the Quest for the Final Heaven. Any thoughts?
Now this other idea is more of a request for advice. In essence, I've been thinking about having this character who essentially had his soul split as a result of an accident. This resulted in several hims. There are two or three copies of him, with the exact same body, personality, everything. They are semi-autonomous, ie. can hold conversations and do stuff, but they defer to him. My question is, how do I write a character like that? .-.
