ImageImage
Yup, that's the plan.

Image
XD Sugar... XD

Image
Yeah, focus! Let's go kick Chave's butt. Oh, no, wait. Scratch that, Mom's here. Gotta listen to her.

ImageImageImage
Yup, figured she'd know Sugar already.

ImageImageImage
Same Guardian as your Dad's, remember Pratty? Wait... Why is Sugar so quiet all of a sudden?

ImageImage
Derail successful!

Image

ImageImageImage
Not sure if better or worse... Pratty uses handwave! It's interrupted by Sugar!

ImageImage
Oh, yeah. Tournament. Match. Lateness. Better focus.

ImageImage
Well, she likes Sugar at least. But what's up with Sugar not being hyper?

Image
Yup, better ask.

ImageImage
Oh dear...

Image
Why?

Image
Oh boy... This is getting awkward...

Image
Well, wife, for starters. I'm pretty sure that's what she means, you know?

ImageImage
Aaaand she doesn't want to talk about it.

Image
Move on Pratty, let it go for now. Awkwardness levels are on the rise.

Image
Yup. That's more like it. Now, let's focus on this Chaves fellow. But first, let's take our time to talk to every. Single. Person. In town because, well, we're not supposed to be at a match right now anyway. :D

ImageImageImage
Wait, matches? Didn't Sanary... Now that works perfectly.

Image
Loot! Sorry Sanary, you gave us something better than a measly Iron Ore!

Now we go after Chaves. But before that, we should have a look at the dungeon.

Image
And Sugar learns a new spell from all the stabbing for materials.

ImageImageImage
Well, guess we can only go down to the 3rd floor right now... Oh well. Green glowy thingy is the teleporter. They allow easier access to the floors bellow, provided you've reached said floors once and whacked it into activity with your trusty hammer.

Image
Now we're back at the workshop with the stuff from these floors and finally make that spear from last time. And then talk to Bron for...

Image
Another Drill! Not like I crafted the one we got from the cat family, but hey. Still, we need more materials, so back to the dungeon it is.

ImageImageImage
And important things happen. That's a special enemy. They're more or less rare, and always drop Mystic Ores. Not too hard to fight, and only drop 1 Ore, but the drop is guaranteed. Trust me when I say we'll need lots of that stuff. But for now, Sugar got a new spell.

ImageImage
Craft Drill, talk to Bron. Need moar materials! I have three weapons now, plenty for filling the equipment screen... But nooooo Gotta Craft 'em All. :P

ImageImage
Knuckles crafted. Talk to Bron. And of course, the axe needs even more stuff than the other weapons needed. Chaves? What Chaves? Back to the dungeon it is!

ImageImage
Craft axe. Talk to Bron. Oh... No more weapons? :(

Ok, so, I didn't craft the Drill or the Axe we got from talking to people. I'll just hold back on that because they'll need more materials and by now I already spent a good chunk of the day breaking crates and barrels in the tiny low-level area we have. One weapon of each kind seems like a good start. Now we go bash some heads in the tournament!

ImageImage
Welp. Relevant Tournament Rule: Only one weapon may be used by contestant. Victory can be achieved by either knocking the opponent out or breaking his weapon. Of course, if Pratty's weapon breaks, you'd normally be allowed to keep fighting with the hammer, but since the rules apply both ways, if her weapon breaks she loses all the same in these fights.

Out of the five, since weapon-breaking is a valid strategy, let's go with the Drill.

ImageImage
Let's go with yes.

:|

Let's... Explain stuff first...
Image
That technique is only rewarded if you win by breaking your opponent's weapon, and it's always the technique for the weapon they used. So, in this case, it's Chaves' Sword. Or The Slab of Metal That Weighs More Than An Battleaxe. XD So, in that sense, it's probably a good idea to go for weapon-breaking rather than just knocking out the human enemies, and the Drill is great at that.

[Also, sorry for the easy fight I really avoided fighting in the dungeon while hunting for materials. Running from fights and sticking to breaking crates for the drops. But I forgot just how weak Chaves is and even by avoiding most level grinding, I was still way above his grade. Things will probably balance out in the future though, he's easy just for the sake of being the first boss.]

Image
No Pratty. You didn't win. You ran a bulldozer over the guy. :|

Image
Sugar... XD Yeah, she's got the right idea. Shoving a Drill into your opponent's face could totally be called magnificent, if looked at from a certain angle. :P

Image
Uh... Sorry big guy. I know you feel upset but the sheer unfairness but, hey, someone had to win.

ImageImageImage
:| Duuuuuude.

Image
Hey, we have video evidence there. She simply punched a hole through your sword man. Sugar never even showed her face.

Image
Oh, yeah right. Let the referee talk. He saw what happened.

Image
You still talking? >_<

ImageImageImage
:gurt: Way to go, master Sakuro.

I guess we're done here, after all, it's already...
Image
Night time!

ImageImageImage
"Managed to win"

Oh well, at least Bron came by to talk for a bit.
ImageImageImage
One down... How many to go? I mean, they never released a bracket list or anything... How many matches there are? Oh, who cares. We can deal with this later.

ImageImageImage
That is the question.

So guys, night walk time. Sugar or Sanary?
[Disclaimer: I played the game before, but I didn't do every single night walk option so don't ask me which one will be cooler/funnier. :P I have no clue.]

Lemme just say that the battle visuals and animations look really gorgeous O.o

Also what exactly do the Night Walks do? Do they just affect the story? Or do they have effect on the gameplay as well? :)

Personally, I consider these the best graphics in GBA games. Megaman Battle Network comes close, but has a different animation style, so it's hard to compare. And Golden Sun is... Well, blocky and uncanny.

RotavatoR wrote:Also what exactly do the Night Walks do? Do they just affect the story? Or do they have effect on the gameplay as well? :)

Just story, as far as I remember. Getting to know the other characters more and that stuff.

Hmm... I'm tempted to vote for just Sugar every Night Walk xD Then again, in that case we won't get to know the other characters :P So I'm not voting for this one.
EDIT: Oh what the heck, I'm voting Sugar
<_>

So, you voted for Sugar on this Night Walk... Ok then. Time to continue the path to Craftlordship!

Image
That's the hangout. :)

ImageImageImage
I.E. Stay in the sidelines and don't do anything. Seems legit. :P

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Good thing 'cause I have no clue. Good thing we'll have time to figure out eh?

Anyway, it's morning, and Bron is already here!
ImageImageImage
Wait, wasn't she supposed to taking classes on blacksmith stuff and the like? Where are the techs man? Need moar stabby things.

Image

Image
Cheers for Bron! XD

Image
There there Sguar... It'll be ok.

ImageImageImage
Hey, new town? Interesting. Not like we'll have a tournament match to take care of at all. :D

ImageImageImage
*nods* We'll head there immediately. Immediately after talking to every single person in town. Again. ^_^

Image
Yes?

ImageImage
Yeah, here's one: Swords?

Image
He likes swords.

Image
Swords.

Image
Because swords.

Image
Swords are his father.

Image
SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORDS!

Image
:|

Ok then.

Let's go see Bron right after we take a look at how are things in the dungeon.

ImageImage
Mechanics: The blue tear panel is a heal panel. These are scattered around in the dungeon and can be used indefinitely to heal HP and restore Magic uses. Generally speaking, you'd like to grind for levels near one to avoid having to leave to rest. But as far as materials go, it's still better to farm by breaking crates and barrels near a teleporter so you can reset them faster by quickly exiting and reentering the dungeon.
And speaking of teleporters, BF6 unlocked for quick access. We need to go deeper.

ImageImage
Not that much deeper, I suppose. BF8 is as far as we can go for now. Eh... Might as well go meet Bron now, I suppose.

Nah, just kidding. We got stuff to do.
ImageImageImage
First: Notice the TEC line in both equipment screenshots. TEC is a measure of how good Pratty is with that particular weapon. In this particular game, TEC is stored by weapon, so if I reach a certain TEC level on the Novice Knife, any other Novice Knife will have the same level no matter when I use it. And also, different weapons have different TEC limits. Comparing both screens the Novice Knife is at 214, the Knuckles at 0 and the Drill at 100. Now, notice how the TEC on the Knife is black, and the TEC on the Drill is grayed out? That's because the TEC limit for the Knife is 255, so we haven't reached it yet. As for the Drill that I've used more, it's grayed out because we are at it's limit of 100. The Knuckles have never been used.
As to what TEC is used for, I'm not precisely sure of all the effects, but the major one is resistance to Durability loss. Possibly with some extra attack or defense, but mainly it makes the weapon last longer. To raise that stat you just need to use it in battle. Each successful hit adds a small amount to it until it reaches the cap.
Lastly, Sugar learned a new spell. And a pretty useful one at that. :) Now that I remember I forgot to explain what each spell does, let me catch up:
  • Enchant Aqua: Charges your equipped weapon with the Water element for massive damage! Or not. But it's still an attack power boost. And can be pretty helpful, under certain situations.
  • Aqua Tornado: The basic Water attack spell. Multi-hit damage, I'll just show this one on video eventually.
  • Healing Spell: Pretty straight forward, and what Sugar gets the most uses of.
  • Astral Guard: It's a defense boost. Instead of enchanting the weapon, Sugar enchants Pratty directly with a shielding aura. Considering I'm not too keen on raising the Defense stat when leveling up... :?
I'll do my best to explain the spells as Sugar unlocks them in the future to avoid lots of text like this one here. Sorry about that.

Now, Swords guy said to carry backup swords. We're not going to disobey that now, are we? :P
ImageImageImage
Wait what?

Well, there's what Mystic Ore is used for. When crafting a recipe you already know, if you have enough Mystic Ore you can infuse the recipe to craft a weapon that's permanently enchanted with one element. You don't get to pick the elements, but every non-boss weapon in the game can be made into an elemental version this way. Or... Well, every Sword can. As for the other four types, it depends on the Guardian Beast. Sugar can do that with Spears and Knuckles. Which explains the Drills and Axes we got as rewards. Token elemental versions of these kinds so we're not left totally without options.

Now I suppose we could look at what Bron wants. :)
ImageImageImage
Oh, but it could.

ImageImageImage
Oh Sugar. XD

Image
Neither do I. But, let's sail!

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Bron... If you're going to the same place, why don't you take the parcel yourself? Come to think of it... Why did Pratty even had to come all the way out here for anyway?

Image
Wha- He didn't... Oh well... We can find the shop on our own.

Image
Shop found. Package delivered. Wait a minute... Is that Bron chillin' right there?! >_<

ImageImageImage
You didn't. And we didn't take (too) long.

ImageImageImage
Amused Sugar is amused!

ImageImage
Well, with that done and out of the way... Let's go back. After looking around. :3

ImageImage
Well, just a note on the Mineral Bracelet. Like I mentioned, I'm not too keen on spending points on Defense, so getting something to help out in that front is always a plus. And we're back at the city of swords again. :)

Image
Admit it, you just wanted company. Not the whole sailing alone thing. Besides, Sugar accepted to cancel the date just to come along!

ImageImageImage
Whooo! Technique!

ImageImageImage
It's a sword.

Image
Great... Name...

Let's go craft it then... And get interrupted on the way by a creepy old guy.
ImageImageImage
Oh, so you heard about how she thrashed Chaves, eh?

ImageImage
Nope, he ain't kidding. I mean, when someone walks over your guy, you'd like to have 'em on your side. Right?

ImageImageImage
Uh? Well...

ImageImageImage
Sure, why not? I mean, it's cash. And we're pretty much broke from making what's probably the only purchase we'll ever have to do in the whole playthrough. :P

ImageImageImage
Great name... :|

ImageImage
Woot. 5k for ... Wait, 10 of the things? Oh dear, that's gonna take a lot of materials...

ImageImageImage
Yes. Try your best to find matches. @.@ Lots and lots of matches.

Dungeon diving. Material hunting. Must. Make. Swords. Oh, there's Sanary doing stuff in the dungeon too!
ImageImageImage
Hooo... Looks like she's in on it.

ImageImage
Sure, why not?

ImageImageImage
Whoah, hold on a minute there Sanary... What's with the attitude?

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
What did you decide Pratty?

ImageImageImage
Well, that's settled then. Back to the forge!

ImageImageImage
But first, talking to Bron for more techs. Either way, 10 Iron Sabers later and we're short on materials again. >_< Well, let's go make the drop.

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Oh Nigelle... I'm sure we will... Thanks for the cash. Ahem... Tournament. Yeah, that's a thing.

Image
See? It's almost as if they were waiting for the whole sidetracking to happen. But that would be insane. We haven't even been sidetracking for long enough that they'd notice...

And a wild blonde dude appears.
ImageImageImage
 Well, gotta admit the kid has confidence. Perhaps too much of it, but he does have it.

ImageImageImage
Uh... You're cutting a little too close there pal... I'd advise you to step back.

ImageImageImage
Blondie...

ImageImageImage
Ok... Let's listen to Sugar for now... We'll meet you in the tournament blonde guy.

And just as we arrive at the workshop:
ImageImageImage
It's like clockwork. Anyhow, Kenon. From the Gold Guild... Well, psychological warfare much? Trying to intimidate Pratty before the match? Well, too bad blondie... We're going there to get you... And there's absolutely nothing that will stop us.

Image
Or maybe Sanary will... I tried guys. I tried to go straight to the important tasks!

ImageImageImage
Pretty much. Just different guilds.

ImageImageImage
Oh.

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Oh no Sanary... Don't start that.

ImageImageImage
You say that like it's our fault! The guy is persuasive. I mean, it was 5000b!

ImageImageImage
Meh, the blondie can wait. Let's meet our friend Nigelle. It's not like we didn't delay going to a match before, after all. :P

ImageImageImage
Uh? What? Why are you helpful all of a sudden Sanary?

ImageImage
AHA! So that's why, Sanary? Tsk tsk...

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Well, no. Not really. I really like the five thousand. But I suppose... If it's really necessary... :( Still, you sold weapons to them Sanary... I'm ashamed of you!

ImageImageImage
Ouch.

ImageImage
Wait, Varil? O.o Not Kenon? If he's not our next opponent then what.

ImageImage
Well... Nice whether isn't it?

ImageImageImage
Ow... Dude. She just admitted to a mistake, why are you pressing the issue?

Image
:|

Image
Well, guess Sanary is pissed off now... This will be interesting to watch-

ImageImageImage

Image
Yes, as a matter of fact, we do.
Now, dat spear twirl. @.@ Either way, sweet spear tech GET! :D

ImageImageImage
Hah! Loot!

ImageImageImage
Apply water to burned area. Oh, wait, you can't, we broke your water spear.

ImageImageImage
ImageImage
Whiny whiny. We won! Your bad Varil.

ImageImageImage
No worries.

Now, back to the workshop to prepare for the match against that Kenon dude.
ImageImage
Oh, look! The money is still there! And damn, that's one nice Spear. Only costs more than half of our Mystic Ore. But whatever. Worth it.

So, next update: We go for Kenon. After doing other things all over the place! XD And I'll include the night walk in the update as well. So, take your pick: Sugar, Sanary or Varil? XD Yup, Varil is now in the Night Walk pool.

Eeeyup. Here we go again.

First...
ImageImage
Let's get that Axe from Bron made so we can get more techs from him.

ImageImage
Yari made, get knuckles.

ImageImage
Kuckles made, get Drill and we're now missing materials. Hopefully, we're only a little bit short on Water Ore, thanks to amassing all that Ore for the 10 Iron Sabers, 9 of which I melted back into materials.

Image
One short exploration later, and we have all the weapons we can currently get from Bron. You'll notice I'm not making the elemental techniques, Mystic Ore is a bit expensive right now. And with only those swords to farm from, they're really not worth grinding for. At least for now. But we'll catch up eventually.

Now, we explore. Because we're already late to the match anyway, what's a few hours more? XD

Image
Oh dear... I can already see where this is going...

Image
SPEEEEEEEEAAAAA-

Image
No I don't.

Image
Nope.jpg

Image
No Pratty. Stop it!

Image
:( Nice Spear...

No more fun strolls for you today miss. Get to the arena and get this over with.
Image
Oh, by the way, did I ever mention how much I hate axes?

You know, that was actually a fun fight. And surprisingly, the first time I managed to win easily against an Axe user. Basically, Axes are just as good as Drills in DUR damage, the problem being that they are slow and don't combo well, and also have a massive damage. So, if you want to break your opponent's weapon, you're better off spamming Drill weapons, but when facing against the monstrous durability of Axe types, you're facing a problem: If you block their attacks, your durability will suffer, if you don't, you die because these things hit hard. So, the only two options there are to knock them out and forget about the weapon tech, or pin them into blocking and keep them there. Either way, it can be a pretty tough fight.

Still using the Novice Drill, by the way. Maxed out TEC stat makes it better than the Nano Drill up in the chain with 0 TEC.

Image
Honorable contestant is honorable. *bows* It was good fight Kenon.

ImageImageImage
:D

ImageImage
Well, that's true for once. Thanks for the heal back there Sugar. :)

Image
And a wild Varil appears. *raises swords*

Image
Oh don't you start that.

ImageImage
You're welcome to try.

ImageImage
Hum...

Image
Yep, that's the spirit!

Image
Underestimated, uh? That's the excuse? Ok then. Let's think about that some other time. It's getting late already.

Night walk time!

ImageImageImage
As per vote results, we're off to see Sanary tonight. :)

ImageImageImage
I'm pretty sure she's not. I mean, I don't see anyone else there.

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage

ImageImage
Big sis... Well, that's actually pretty cool. :)

And so we wake up in the following day and, surprise surprise... Bron's here!
Image
Eh, I guess it'll just have to wait for a while. :D

No comments since the last update. :(

Well, not here on the forum, anyhow. :P But the chat comments are cool. :D

We pick up from where we left off.

Image
Eeeyup, he just did. And a duo of other guys get in right after him.

Image
Good question.

Image
SPAAAAAAAACE! Oh, wait, wrong joke.

ImageImage
*punch*

Image
Uh... Sugar... How hard did you whack him?

ImageImageImage
D: Bron's going to die! T_T

ImageImageImage
Or maybe not, carry on. Nothing to see here. But yes, what's up Bron?

ImageImageImage
Wheeee! Rescue mission time!

ImageImageImage
:| Really?

ImageImage
That's the excuse? Kid's gone missing and the master craftknight can't do anything because he sprained his back... And it's up to the apprentice to go? *videogames!*

ImageImageImage
Okay then. At least he's sending us monster hunting instead of delivering a package. Let's get ready!

ImageImageImage
Forge Kenon's Axe because boss weapon. And then that super sword we were supposed to have... Which's not exactly a bad one, to be honest. Also, start on our way to get the new day's weapons. Starting with the Drill this time.

ImageImage
Drill crafted, knuckles get.

ImageImage
Eagle Talons, uh? Kinda cool looking, sadly, no room for knuckles at the moment. Get the spear recipe and we're out of materials. Now, the task at hand is already dungeon diving, so, I'll hold back on crafting that for now. Let's go talk to everyone ever again, because it's not like we have a missing person to rescue at all!

ImageImageImage
You're still thinking on it? We still have those 5000 from the gold guild to burn. Hopefully before they notice we get the swords back without returning the money!

Image
>:D 4000 to go.

Image
Indeed we do. Not like we're going to use it either.

ImageImageImage
 Here you go pal. And really, if you're scared of what he'll say if you ask him for the recipe, what do you expect him to do when he sees you walking around with that? XD

Image
Still, technique get.

ImageImageImage
Uh, no idea whatsoever?

Image
Oh, ok then.

ImageImage
Why weren't you around, I don't know, way back then when Iron Ore was still something we needed to find? :|

Still, I guess we're done here. We'd usually go for the dungeon for materials anyway, so, let's head there and see if we can find this Razzy kid.

ImageImageImage
Yep Sugar, a gigantic hole in the floor, and a voice coming down from it. :P

ImageImage
You sure you were paying attention Sugar?

ImageImage
Of course not! There's a teleporter just on screen there. And we got quite a bit of materials making our way down here. No... We have stuff to make. Pointy stuff.

ImageImage
Valeri Spear and not enough materials for the axe. It's ok, I can catch up on the materials later, it's the last weapon on this rotation, anyway, so there's no need to hurry.

ImageImage
Now we go down the hole. Hopefully it's not a rabbit one... That would be awesome, if it was the case though.

Only, there's a strange person there...
ImageImageImage
Might as well ask for information.

ImageImageImage
? ? ? That's... Not flowing from what we asked...

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
:|

Image
Agreed.

ImageImage
Ok... Can we actually have a normal conversation now?

ImageImage
Nope Pratty, she's not. It's written ? ? ? there.

ImageImageImage
So much for normalcy...

ImageImageImage
*backstep* Creepy ominous woman is ominously creepy.

Let's whack the crack in the floor, because nothing can go wrong with that!
Image
Or Pratty might fall from the edges and plummet into darkness and doom and higher level zones.

ImageImageImage
Or just somewhere else. With yet another new face.

Image
See? She's ok.

ImageImageImage
Wuoh, don't kill the kid Pratty. Not yet, at any rate.

ImageImage
... I get a feeling you shouldn't have asked...

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
I'm pretty sure Razzy said all of that in a single breath too. XD So, let's go outside see what the fuzz is about.

ImageImageImage
It's a monster.

Image
Of COURSE we're going to fight it. FOR THE LOOT!

ImageImageImage

Don't worry Pratty, you can take the fight. Just go for a Giga! Drill! BREAKER!

So, fight commentary. For starters, I switched my equipment around. Using the Micro Turbine since we entered the dungeon for the first time in this update, that was enough to max out it's TEC, so, we have a better Drill with maximum TEC now. I also melted down most of my unused weapons for materials, no use having a lot of them on you when you need ores and can't use more than three anyway.

For the fight itself, it's a monster-type boss, in that case, you really just want as much damage as you can. Using spells is a good way to burn some of their HP without wasting weapon durability, but be careful, even if you have enough uses of the different spells, you can only use these powers 5 times per battle (the little golden diamonds in the lower right) so if you think you'll need to heal or shield, don't burn all five on attack spells right off the bat.

After that, look at the durability damage! That's what using a low-TEC weapon does. I've been focusing on raising the Drill's TEC for the tournament, and both swords were on the low 10s at that fight. That's about 3 Durability lost per hit! You really have to be careful not to lose weapons in that case. But, I knew I had the max-TEC Drill, so I just stuck with the swords until they were close to breaking and then I didn't really need the Drill for more than a finishing blow. With it's charge attack just because I can. 8-)

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
:D Too slow Pratty, try to keep up!

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Okay... What are you talking about Sugar. Wait, don't start walking off now, what are you talking about?!

...

Let's just go back. That'll be simpler.

ImageImageImage
"Of course." :|

ImageImage
I guess it's up to you Pratty.

ImageImageImage
Don't look at me. I'm on the other side of the fourth wall. It'd be cheating if I did. :P

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
RemmembertobreathbetweenwordsRazzy.

ImageImageImage
ImageImage
FlowerfieldinWystern?

ImageImageImage
Oh, there it is! Deus Ex right on time!

ImageImageImage
Finally keeping up, Pratty?

Image
 Nope. Not keeping up.

ImageImage
Can you spell Tsundere?

ImageImage
"Not because I care or anything", right?

ImageImageImage
"Just because I had nothing to do. Yep, it wasn't that I was worried about you down here looking for Razzy." /mindreading

ImageImage
XD Breaking Sanary 101: Thank her constantly.

Image
Subject dodge!

ImageImage
Well, now it's kind o obvious, you know?

ImageImage
Yes, you are.

ImageImageImage
I'llescapefromSanaryandgetrightbackandthengetlostagainandstuff!

ImageImageImage
Dun dun dun dun!

Image
Like that wasn't going to happen. :P

ImageImageImage
Yep. You do. You also need to steal her weapon.

Image
No, don't listen to Sugar. It's weapon breaking or nothing!

That said, we really should go back, get that axe done and prepare for the fight. The sooner we go for it, the sooner we get more loot! :D

And of course, Bron is miraculously up on his feet again.
ImageImageImage
At least he's happy. But he shouldn't have asked that one.

ImageImageImage
Bron status: Broken. XD

ImageImage
D'aaw... That's kind of adorable Sugar. If only your reasoning was pure... XD

ImageImageImage
If that works for you...

Guess we need to go for it now, eh?

Next update: We utterly demolish Razzy's plans of turning Wystern into a flower field. Or get our asses handed to us by the hyperactive kid. We'll see. :)

And we'll also have a Night Walk, so open votes now, no cookies for guessing who's getting added to the list. :P
  • Sugar.
  • Sanary.
  • Varil.
  • Razzy.

Well, pick up were we left off.

And that is, still didn't craft one of the day's weapons!
Image
Sadly, 41 wind ore is something we don't have. Ignore the 11 mystic ore there, it's actually number 06 we want now. Same deal, only not elemental. This means going to the dungeon for loot!

Image
And we have it, without much more than 1 run in. I decided against go farming and just melted down the Valeri Spear. All normal weapons of the day are now crafted.

Only one thing left to do!
Image
 Time to trash the flower field, destroy dreams and obliterate all- Oh dear god what's that damage?! Why are you jumping all over the place Razzy? What.

:|

Okay then.

First: Enchanted Knuckles. 5-hit combo with extra power. Second: What the hell is that Agility Stat! Third: The spell Razzy used is called Weapon Guard, it's essentially the best spell in the game, making it so you can't lose durability at all while it's active... And the one spell Sugar gets the least uses of.

By the end, without any healing left I was just trying to bait and guard. If timed properly you can block HP damage completely... Sadly, you can't block magic.

ImageImage
Two. Measly. Points. Of. Durability. Left. If it wasn't for that Weapon Guard... >_<

RAAAAAAAAAAZZYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Time for Take Two!

Yeah, I know, I took a while to get back to it. Same fight setup as before, didn't grind or change anything. I just decided to open up with Astral Guard to avoid losing too much HP early on, and play a bit more offensively. It did play out a lot like the previous match, but with the difference that I actually won this time. :)

Image
Finally! No more getting punched around by a tiny kid with lightning gauntlets!

ImageImageImage
^_^

Image
Nah, that's just your imagination.

ImageImageImage

Image
Will do. Back to the Guild to get the next day rolling.

ImageImageImage
Why are you telling me this after you just told me to forget about it, Sugar?

Image
Oh, I see.

ImageImageImage
Of course there's a way up there Pratty. There's always stairs, always.

Well, I guess we should go have a look.

ImageImageImage
Nope, no Razzy up here. Let's go home.

ImageImageImage
Nope, definitely not the blatant blue carpet rolling along the wall. No secret passage at all. No one would notice that at all.

ImageImage
Just follow along the wall there, timing so the guards aren't facing your way. Real easy, but no flower fields will be-

Image
-found. And hey, look, there's Razzy too!

ImageImageImage
Uhm...

Image
Scratch why Pratty's there. Shouldn't you be in an infirmary or something recovering from these Drill wounds?

Image
Uh... Pratty... That's... Not what we asked here.

ImageImageImage
Err... Shouldn't a Craftlord be, I don't know, more of like... A labyrinth guardian who forges swords for the sword god and axes for the axe god? I kind of got that vibe earlier, not the whole planting flowers deal.

ImageImageImage
Easy enough. There's totally nothing worse than Razzy on our way to Craftlordship.

ImageImageImage
Now you say that? XD

ImageImageImage
Night Walk Time! As you voted for a lot of Razzy there, we go meet Razzy again!

Image
Yes you did.

ImageImageImage
<_< Lack of writing editor spotted. Conversely. "What. Didn't you just..? O.o"

ImageImageImage
Well, you did say in the text prior to the choice that you were worried about Razzy. Also that you should probably talk about it with someone else. But there are forces bigger than you controlling every single step. XD

ImageImageImage
The general tournament participant populace rejoices. No more lightning fists to the face. Plenty of fists left to meet faces, of course, but no longer are they lightning based. :P

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
Image
Well, I guess this warps up the night. :)

Time to wake up and have an uneventful morning and-
ImageImageImage
What she said. Though I guess the committee doesn't care? Well, let's see who our next match is.

Image
Or... Are, as it turns out.

ImageImageImage
Oh.

ImageImageImage
No points for guessing what's coming up...

Image
XD Repeat after me... Main/ThisIsGonnaSuck.

ImageImageImage
Wait for it...

ImageImageImage
Pretty nice actually. Just some feelings of dread and impending doom. No biggie.

ImageImageImage

ImageImageImage
Wha~ >_<

ImageImageImage
Doesn't matter. You're poking, you get poked.

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
*backstep, backstep*

ImageImageImage
They're starting to get who's the top crafter around.

ImageImageImage
ImageImageImage
What.

ImageImageImage
Those twins!

ImageImageImage
XD Look who's talking... :P

Image
 Yeap, Bron knows it.

ImageImageImage
<_< Yeah. Bron knows it.

ImageImageImage
Not really? XD

Image
New Sword. Swords aren't good at weapon-breaking.

And then suddenly Earthquake!
ImageImageImage
Bron used Dodge. It's super effective!

ImageImageImage
Image
Hum... Fifteen uh? Eh, we can manage.

Image
For reference, in the top left there, the yellow ore that we have 0 of, that's what we need. And in the labyrinth it only ever spawns lower than 15 levels in. Of course, we'll have no problems whatsoever to get that deep.

...

Ariel and Mariel... I forgot about then when I started this LP.

*throws distracting things everywhere*

Well, to be honest, I have everything exactly where I left off at that post. Not really looking forward to that Ariel and Mariel fight at all. But it's not the reason I haven't updated in... Forever.

Truth be told, I have been dealing with a carp ton of problems, none of which relate to fish, in fact, sushi sounds like an adorable idea to get my spirits up. But I digress, I've had issues and distractions to brace through and since there was no reply to that last update I felt little need to bump this up the priority list, and in the end it's... Stalled.

Not saying I'll never finish it, because I might. I just can't do that right now.
