...ahem.

Finally finished writing up a Metaguard for Mr. Administrator to celebrate. Well, I say "finished", but this is really just a rough draft. Pacing's fucked, characterization needs refining, focus could use some work, might be some plotholes due to major last-minute plot changes, definitely some other issues that I would probably remember if I wasn't tired as fuck right now. I'd do some editing and fleshing out, but this things' already weeks overdue (give or take a decade) so I figured I'd just get it out while the forums were still up. At least I'm satisfied with the ending. That's distressingly rare for me.

For the record (SPOILERS), the actual Metaguard here is Cathy, not Janey. She was originally supposed to actually get a cameo at the end, but due to the aforementioned time constraints and rewrites I ended up cutting things off early. I suppose that'll make her easier for other folks to write when the fictionals start coming through the breach, at least.

No, I'm not gonna bother updating my library topic. I don't think there's really a point anymore. xD

EDIT: Honestly, this thing is so standalone that I've been heavily considering seeing if I can get it published in a magazine or something after a few passes in the editing booth. Taking out the link now in case that sort of thing makes people thing I'm plagiarizing myself or something.
