O.o WOW! Scarab can sing! ^_^ Need to add the background music and fix a bit of timing, but that was great. I'll look into seriously setting this stuff up! And then record my awful singing to go with this...

We just need people to record themselves singing, I've got the software to mix it with the background track.

S'cool I struggled with the high notes too :) (it's a crazy high note. is it just me or are songs sung by guys often actually higher than girls? Is that my imagination?) :?

It's probably good to have each person singing a little differently. I have very little idea about how music actually works, but that's how good bands good right? Everyone sings a little differently so it harmonizes when it's all put together?

Not sure what you mean, do you mean is there a program on your comp for recording? Because there might be, but you might be better off finding a microphone or small recorder.

Wait, harmonizing? You actually think we are doing this to sound GOOD? Hell no! We're doing this to have fun while making fools of ourselves on the internet!

Oh. Okay just gimme a moment to be distracted by that awesome rock...

Just try and have some fun with it :D If you don't like it well, you don't have to show us if you really don't want to but it's just for fun.

Well obviously :P Making fools of ourselves on the internet is what we do best (well that and tracking down fictionals invading reality and locating lost diaries... although in fairness we're NOT actually very good at that last part).

See, this is what I meant guyshane. Let's all look like idiots on the internet together!

So how should this be put together?

It can either be everyone singing the whole thing, or one person singing a line, soneone else the next and then everyone in the chorus.

I've got a simple sound recorder on my computer and I have a headset with microphone. Is that what you use?

Try both and see which sounds the funniest?

No, I have a small recorder built into an MP3 player. It's pretty good for what it is, but it's not on the computer itself, sorry.

There's probably SOME online software out there you can download, I guess...

I was thinking of something like what they do in this video. My brother ran into it on one of his YouTube wanderings via the related video section, and when someone suggested we sing this song, this is what came to me.

If you need a program, look for Cubase, Ableton, Garage Band (mac only I think), FL Studio, Audacity, Logic (definitely mac only).
