I'll make it with a picture of a fox in the background. THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

The Pyro one is one of my favourite sprites now ^_^

Well her rough designs in my head already kinda have fox tail and ears so you know, I'm sure we'll make sure there is plenty of foxiness going on ^_^

Well now I'm just thinking of this bit from Avatar.

"[...]with the help of his foxy knowledge seekers."

"Oh, so this spirit has attractive assistants, huh?"

"I think he means they look like actual foxes, Sokka."

"You're both right! Handsome little creatures."

Alrighty Jake, you'll be added to the list, however,

There will be no more additions to the profile list following this point.

We love doing these as much as you guys like getting them, but it was mostly intended as a reward for the active players of the arg (as well as an attempt to practice and refine our art styles). We also need to draw the line somewhere of where we are gonna stop, so that we can move on to other fun projects. I'm sure y'all understand (besides, I think at this point we have just about everyone covered)

JRPicture's design is completed. I was linked by various people to possible sci-fi style designs for JR's image, and eventually settled on something along the lines of a videogame known as FPhantasy Star. This is probably the mos science fiction of the lot, besides Agora. I'm quite new to this level of complex design sooo I hope I did a good job.

I am also going back and forth on whether to give him eye lenses. What would you prefer, JR?

For some reason now, no matter what the drawing will look like, I keep thinking that my sprite will end up looking a bit like Shippo from Inuyasha...
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

I still need to brainstorm mine with Scarab.

Also that drawing is cool, what are the blades supposed to be?

They aren't strictly BLADES, you'll see in the final version. And generally, they're something you get out of the way of very quickly ;)

Hopefully we can chat about your design next time we're both online , Vic :)

I love the design

As for whether to give it glasses?

Hmm don't give him glasses. Just leave it like that.

Let's just say those "blades" are from Tron and were my idea.

Gotcha. No glasses it is. :) The face needs a bit of work, to be honest, I don't think it quite matches the body. Also, as Adell pointed out, the shoulders look... painful.

Aso the blades are probably gonna end up NOT looking very like they're from Tron by the time we're done with them. Nno specific and direct referrences that I can't disguise as being 'just rather similar to something else'. This is the reason why I've refused to give people things like, for example, keyblades. The basic rule is 'if whatever we're drawing/spriting basically is exactly and deliberately like the weapon of an existing show without any attempts to change it to be more original, then you're pushing into it being FAN art, which isn't what this project is about.' Inspiration is one thing. Directly copying is quite another ;)

Can't it just be some kind of Tron Lines blade/hulahoop fusion? Tropes aren't references *whistles*

I think so, yes. If we're adding an original twist by merging two different weapons together then it can work. I'm discovering that it's actually kinda difficult to make a value judgement on when something stops being a refrence and starts being a direct copy. :?

...I wouldn't try to hulahoop with a Tron Lines blade though. That sounds like it would result in rather large ammounts of pain and you being cut into several pieces.

Actually the hulahoop part came from [WARNING]something I saw in an webcomic. Not the blade part though, and you had suggested an weaponized hulahoop too, so I dunno if it counts. But I think linking you to the webcomic could be prejudicial or something. The only reason I'd link you there is because of my perspective of how a blade/hulahoop would work, because in my way I think hulahoop with Tron Lines blade is possible... If at least as a battle technique.[/WARNING]

Hmmm. Yet. You know who will, I think.

Eh, I'm not really a wings sort of guy. They're big and cumbersome and need a lot of effort and magic to work. Hover drives, maybe. Wings? No.
So, apparently I'm the sanest madman this side of the international date line. Seems legit.

If I get wings (which I doubt, being a fox and all, but hey, wherever the creative juices flow) I'd prefer butterfly wings. Something about bird or bat wings bugs me, probably because they've been done so much more often...
