Ooohhh... I like it.

...But now I want those gloves to be NES Power Gloves. I'm not even sure what these are, but I loved my SNES when I had one (I even have the original Portuguese guide to Mario Kart, which came with the console) and they fit the theme. What do you think?

mmm, I think it looks good as is, Vic. Power gloves may be overdoing it.

Why so? Power Gloves are quite "bad", as they say.

I just personally think that it's enough as is, and that adding Power Gloves would do nothing positive to the piece.

I just said they would end up fitting the theme. I noticed Scarab gave me gloves, and given my 8/16-bit theme I remembered of those, even though I'm not sure what they are. It's up to Scarab, it doesn't really matter for me. I like it as it is. :gurt:

Pixellated, pixel effect, pixel pixel pixel... There's only one of me, I tell 'ya... But no, you anin't listening... /ramble.

Anyhow, that's quite nice. :) It really looks sort of awkward with the umbrella, but it was a fine weapon, if it had worked.

I'm sure Mary Poppins and Mycroft Holmes would agree with you. :D

They would. :)

Especially Mary Poppins, who is one of the best nannies ever, and-but only in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Universe-punched out the ANTICHRIST with it.

With Victin having one now, he can be an improvised weapon user. Although I'm not sure how the umbrella fits in with his old style/8 Bit/16 Bit video game theme, it's a nice touch, and Scarab, do keep it. Although make it closed and longer, so he can look even more badass. :D

I get the reference That is if you were referencing Nostalgia Critic's review of The Wizard.

Moving on

I like the idea of the umbrella weapon but I understand why it was cut out.

I do like the pixelised effect though.

No power gloves. I'd rather keep it as it is.

The cyber wrench thing is awesome, I'm probably gonna focus on that with the sprite I think.

Well, when you need to fine tune your spells, you need a specialized tool to do it, right? :D

I mean, my original thoughts for the tools were akin to watch-tools and stuff, but a giant wrench is so much cooler than it.

Need to mess around with a piece of magic? Just use the wrench and tweak the currents and points (or however the spell is structured). Need to mess it up? Do the same thing! (Alternately, you could just use it to break up the surface it's anchored to, if any) And to top it off, you can hit people with it!

Yeah essentially you can either fix or destroy soemthing depending upon exactly how HARD you hit it with that thing. Which is kinda like a real wrench, only cooler XD

Well, you also have to time it correctly, hit it at the right angle (in all appropriate dimensions. Which is generally 3, or 4 if you want to include time as a dimension, in which case that incorporates the timing portion. And then we get into the case of needing to hit something in a temporally reverse manner...). Sometimes you need to twist it as well, which brings into account how fast you twist and how far you twist.

An elegant tool, for a more civilized age.

Complicated stuff this magical temporal mechanics, you need the right tools for the job.

Of course, that said, the primary goal of lots of these chracter profiles in the event that this were an actual videogame would be beating the crud out of each other, so fine tuning might not be as much help in that instance as just smashing it into things. Just as well you've officially been elected the weapons mechanic in my head rather than a fighter :P

Being not much of a fighter, I am perfectly fine with this.

EDIT: Artificer. That's what it was. Basically, a non-mechanical artificer was a general design influence. What an electrician is to electricity, or a chemist to chemistry, only to magic.

EDIT NUMERO DOS: Sufficiently Analysed Magic also explains it pretty well.

BADASS. And I wonder what book he's reading?

The Wrench looks AWESOME! If we were still allowed to edit the character sheet, I'd put Wrench Whack on.
