Yeah. This looks like it's gonna be fun. So, I hear there's some kind of loss mechanic discussion going. Does that mean we're waiting for that to finish, or will we move on to another round? Anyway, normally, what sort of delay will there be between rounds? Any?

I eagerly await the next matches, and have my new character prepped to enter, if things stay as they are.
Apparently, slightly less weird than most of you.

So there has been a lot of discussion about loss mechanics so far. And here is what I have decided on that. I have heard a lot of ideas and have taken them to heart. So here are two methods to bringing back the dead.

1. If you defeat the Champion of Drome you can choose to collect the perks (Denying and Picking a fight) or kill your current avatar and come back as your old one
2. After five wins in a row you announce that you will fight a Drome King, NPC's that are overpowered considering they have five power slots and control over the environment. Do this and you can bring back an old character in exchange for your current one.

And now for the next exciting match up's! Our random number selector has created the next two matches to face each other

Pixel vs. Helnekin (the Jester) Drome 2

Borogove vs. Goliath (Victin) Drome 1

Your matches start as soon as the first person posts. I will now only appear once one player is dead to announce a winner so... say it with me... WATCH OUT!!!!

Yo, Mimsy, Victin, try not to blow too much of the place up, k? You're fighting on MY turf, so trashing it is MY job. :P

Endless, I make no promises, considering it's a fight between a giant who's bound to be massively collaterally destructive, and a guy who turns the everything into swords.

On another note, why do I get the feeling Xana is trolling me? Pitting the creator of blades against a gigantic berserker who's Made of Iron... In a forest... Admittedly, it's missing a giant castle for the staging ground, and Goliath isn't swinging around a gigantic concrete cleaver, nor is he being commanded by a psychotic little girl, but still.

Well, I already said this, but I want to say again: I already started to plan something up.

But seriously, I'm fighting with Mimsy. MIMSY! It's an honor, but I'm scared a lot. And I'm also nervous.
Oh God. Mimsy. Oh God. Oh God.
I don't have anything to say... Maybe...
Bring My Brown Pants?

Anyways, I'll be busy until Wednesday. Sorry. Tomorrow I'll have Portugues and French, the day after Geography and Geometry and finally, Math at Wednesday. So, no fight until there. And Mimsy will have plenty of time to plan. Crap. But so will I. But I suck at gambitting.

Well, I tossed up an intro post. I'll be trying to keep things fairly short - generally 2, 3, or maybe 4 paragraphs - and it shouldn't be much of a problem considering that we'll be going attack-by-attack, and I'm only controlling one character, so no epically long back and forth fight scenes to worry about this time. Vic, if you have time, feel free to respond, if not, I guess I can wait. For now, I suppose, I'll just watch Pixel vs. Jester. This should be good. >=D

I noticed you didn't say my size. And since I only lived in a house when I was small... I don't actually know how big is a big house. I'm thinking something between 10 and 20 metres, but I'm not sure how much...

Also, I'm wondering how strong is a sword made in one minute. I suppose it's as strong as a normal one, or a bit stronger, but I'm not sure...

It varies depending on factors. In this case, since he had full concentration and was creating only one weapon, it's probably going to be pretty powerful. Not quite on the level of, say, a fictitious katana that can cut through battleships when you swing it in the opposite direction just because the backlash of the swing is that powerful, but pretty good. Maybe enough to cut your character a few times before its weakened enough to just shatter against his armor, essentially.

And, yeah, I guess.

Still a lot stronger than I thought. One last question, what's your sword made of? Does it matter?

Most weapons he creates have their composition altered. Usually, that entails them being made of some kind of unknown material, the properties of which he determines through other attribute manipulations. So I'd say it doesn't really matter what it's made of.

Pix vs. Jester had a nice progress today. We're approaching the end now.
It's my turn and I theoretically have time to do it now, but Jester is offline until tomorrow so I'll just chill and post my own segment tomorrow as well... Any comments so far, anyone?

So Goliath thinks my bishie is female, huh? Well, it's a good thing we have a game for that.

In his defense he is a stone giant seeing a small man from distance. And Gaia isn't the kind of person who "likes" humans. He doesn't care nor knows. And he isn't even a 'he'. He is 'it' actually.

Also, how the heck controling the water in your body boosts your physical abilities? The only way I can see your weapon interacting with you is you being impaled and dying due to dehydration.

Now let me think a bit and I'll post. I may get a snack before doing so.

I assume due to the high water concentration in the human body, he is able to control the bonds between water molecules and how strong they are. By this method he can use his manipulation of the water to absorb and dissipate forces that would otherwise deal large amounts of damage to his body at the expense of magical energy as opposed to physical integrity.
Normal people are the easiest to manipulate. Too smart and they have an annoying tendency to catch wind of your plans, too dumb and, in the words of a certain pirate, "You can never tell when they are about to do something incredibly...stupid."

Yep. Pretty much. And, by puppeteering the water in my body, I can also increase my movement abilities by increasing their energy. It's like self-telekinesis reinforcement, essentially.

Ooohhh... :D Cool! I was sure I had seen that before somewhere, but I don't remember where. And I don't think there was an explanation, so I was curious. Because it only made half-sense to me. Anyways, it reminds me of... An old idea for a character that I could use here... :D Thanks for reminding me. The more characters I have the less I'll mind if I die. And as I explained the other day in the chatroom, I mind a lot :(
