Creating a vacuum implies that you'd be moving the air to create a space without matter in it, but Neiross' bAIRrier is literally air condensed and pressurized to the point of solidity. It would thus require you to overpower his control within that region to create a vacuum. Well, unless you're ripping apart space time on a fundamental level to do so rather than using physics, but in that case, your shadows would be, like, anti-matter, not vacuums.

Stahp. Don't discuss who can pwn who here. Wrong place, wrong time.
If you can make it better, don't make it sentient.

Okay even if Jester said it was fine I want to ask you something. Who could possibly beat you and furthermore how could they possibly do it? Because short of stealing all air in your lungs I don't see a way to do it.

Nah. I know Neiross would lose. All of his attacks involve direct kinetic energy, which would only power up Victin's space-breaking energy god further. And, since he has several basically limitless sources of power - the sun, the potential energy within the planet itself - I couldn't outlast him either. I'm just saying that the only move I have that would actually work would be the barrier, and then backing that up.

EDIT: Which Neiross couldn't do unless he let Victin's chara into his barrier, at which point he'd probably already be getting blown up before I could asphyxiate him, but I suppose I could, say, use the oxygen in his blood to blow up all of his major arteries and crush his heart, but he could probably counter that by using absorbed energy to massively reinforce his body structure. And there's the fact that he could just insta-kill anyone from any distance with gamma rays.

Cutting my arm off and setting me on fire would be a start.

Yeah, I suppose I'd go with the first because the other is overpowered. Basically it's like a void/vacuum thing create with the ausence of light and the manipulation of darkness.

But your missing the point: to cut off your arm we would first have to avoid light and shadows, get past a sentient, shapshifiting weapon and then when we tried to cut off your arm it would only leave a shallow cut because your energy absorption would absorb most of the power we put into our swing

Anyway, how would cutting your arm off even be possible, and how would lighting you on fire help anything? The first would just give you the kinetic energy of the impact, which you could then deploy instantly to negate it, making severing a limb completely impossible. As for lighting you on fire, that would give you energy in about three different forms, essentially equating to a massive power boost. Infernal Retaliation is possibly your best friend.

Uh.... I do have to say that Vic's chara is deep into the high end of tier three, even including the laziness. I'm gonna talk to Jester in a second, but some balancing would not be amiss, Vic, if only because you are, compared to literally everything else in this game, essentially a god. My character is an optimized mage killer and I don't think even he would be able to beat you, without the running comedic gag of physics seeming to forget he exists. So in essence, the only way even my character could hope stop you from doing anything would be Rule of Funny. We are trying to keep everyone more or less on a level here, my chara included, so look into possible balances while I discuss this with Jester. Depending on what he says, I may ask you to make the changes.

I already was changing his powers so he isn't broken... Should I keep changing his powers or not?

Get a list ready and let me talk to Jester. If he has something planned, then he gets final say, so you MAY not have to change it. However, from what I can tell, we didn't plan for people being this powerful.

Okay then. I'm ready to either nerf or change my power.

I'm going to change my power to... Well, it's not what it seems, but this is the only word I can use to describe it: concept-based magic. EDIT: And I'm changing my weapons too.

Also, not a big deal, but the whole "Independent party" bit is probably not needed. You will enter the island with the Olympions and begin in their start zone. You could always go running off later, but you how well do you think your allied NPCs are going to survive without you?

That was mostly a backstory nod, being exiled and all.
But, if mechanically it won't make a difference, then yeah. Olympion home base is what makes sense.

Well, it will obviously have an impact on the story, but yeah, what I was saying was that that question was purely for mechanical concerns, and you didn't have to do that there.

OK, the teams as they now stand are Olympion with Pixel, Eli, Agora, Vic, and JR, Athenon with Guyshane, Qara, and myself, and Sparton with Mimsy, Blurred, and Xana. Endless has expressed a desire to join, probably on Athenon's team. Further players are always welcome, and we would love to have you, so is anyone else at all interested in joining?

I'm going to discuss with Endless whether or not he is joining, but other than that, I have only one small matter to go over with you before we begin...

Alrighty folks, probably gonna start this thing up sometime late this evening! Assuming Jester is around, that is.

And Jester, as soon as you get on, stop by and talk to me if I'm around, I need to let you know something before we start. I will be out during the early evening doing Aikido, so if I'm not here, that's where I am and I will be back within a couple hours.

Well, I'm still trying to get in touch with Jester. He was here for a second today, but then vanished before he could say anything. I'm really excited too, but I have to let him know something before we start.
