Well, I'm planning on Julian hitching a ride on/in a warbeast to get out of there, so...

We ARE still surrounded, so we will have to break through the lines somehow, even if we have pushed the enemies away from where we are now... There should be a way opening soon, though...

I'm unsure what to do, so many chaos going on and now the floor is lava. But if you wanted a cloud of smoke you could just have told me. :?

I don't think a smoke cloud would do much for us now, at least, not one of the size that you could make. This is an army coming after us, after all.

I meant as a beacon. Though it could alternatively kill the fires, but they already dissipated, didn't they? Or am I remembering wrong.

I turned the life-force of all the trees in the forest into a blazing shield which will a) protect the trees from fire and lava for a limited time, and b) completely annihilate any Jackals/Warbeasts/withelephants that fly into the range of the shield.

I was working off the assumption that the Jackals were carbon-based, and would therefore burn. :?

It's not just carbon- fuel for fire requires a chemical makeup primarily composed of hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon. Diamonds and graphite are made entirely out of carbon, yet they don't burn.

[/neeeeeeeeeeeeerd]

...also, doesn't using the life force of the trees for a barrier kinda defeat the purpose of using the barrier to protect the trees?

Well they WILL.... Unless the warbeasts can adapt mid summon. Xana said they take on the properties most suited to their environment when summoned. If they have the ability to shift to suit an entirely new environment mid-summon...

We may be in trouble. XD

*not a science major*
Endless is right. I made a mistake about just defining it as a carbon-base, when I meant more of the "burnable" type whose name escapes me.

I was basing the lava transmutation off the fact that Procyon saw the jackals/beasts, and to me that meant that they were already summoned.

Well, they are. Most of them are just running lose wrecking stuff. I'm just saying it is possible the warbeasts can re-adapt on the spot if the environment changed drastically. If they can, then depending on how fast they do it, then the ones that have already reached us and were caught in the transmutation may die, but the ones that just keep pouring in from all directions may still be able to shift and cross the lava fields to attack.

What would war beasts shift into to deal with lava?
I say we nuke it from orbit...its the only way to be sure.

I think you are just determined to make this as difficult as humanly possible. > :|

I'll get a new post up continuing Procyon's GTFO plan tomorrow, probably.

GTFO plan now in action. The entire battlefield is covered in a smokescreen for a bit. I suggest getting out while you can, but it's up to you what to do with it. Procyon is headed for Kingas, at any rate. See you there.

Coolz. :P I'm thinking about doing a short post where Julian (thanks for catching that, Sicon) kills the ride he grabbed and decides to follow suit, but if everyone wants to be done with everything beforehand, I can just mention it in passing when the group gets to the town.

Well, right before the steam cloud happened, Mimsy showed up at where you were, so you can make a post reacting to that and then reacting to the battlefield collapsing. It would allow you and Mimsy to start a chain of interaction posts with your characters if you wanted to do so.

Yes, I was in doubt if I should await for him to do that or not. Given that we are still surrounded by enemies, I guess we don't have much time to chat, so we would either run away just now or fight while we talk.
