...so she CAN permanently die? Then why does she act like she can't?

I believe she was talking about how she couldn't die in relation to things that would kill normal people but not her. Context is important...

Presumably because she can't die from the same things?
It's like "good thing this, which would kill normal people, can't kill me. Also good thing this isn't one of those things that CAN kill me..." except without the Tempting Fate bit.

She can cease to exist. She can't technically die. There's a slight difference. She envies Humans because their changing existence allows their souls to pass on after death. If her body and flames were completely eradicated, her soul would still be there, unchanging, and unable to move on, yet unable to do anything whatsoever. And if she ceased to exist, then just that would happen. Not even her soul would remain to pass on to any sort of afterlife. Basically, her only options for "dying" are And I Must Scream or Ret-Gone, neither of which is a particularly attractive prospect.

...that would've been nice to know earlier. :P

Alright, I'm not certain if I'll be able to post today, and I definitely won't be able to tomorrow. Just a heads-up. Also, just to be clear- if Julian jumped after the guy controlling the Jackals earlier and was stabbing the hell out of the tentacle-dude from the start, would he take any damage from the crossfire?

Uh.... probably. I engulfed the things entire main body in a sphere of destruction and Mimsy seemed to be using mostly AoE.

On that note, Procyon shall be washing ashore near the docks, exhausted, Xana. Please take this into account for the next round.

Alright, I decided to assume the gigantic tentacle monster had internal organs and needed surgery for the massive chest wound Mimsy gave it (that jerk! :P).

There were... complications.

Xana, I saw something in the logs about teleporting us away... just please keep in mind that Alina's familiar is currently in a stable (or has kicked her way out of a stable before it exploded or something), and needs to be teleported with us. ^_^

And Rissen is holding a chicken leg. Or something like that.
Because he was raiding the fridge while the fight was going on, which is why he wasn't close to the explosions and stuff.

What? Why are you looking at me like that? It's obvious that he would do that!

Though Xana doesn't need to account for that detail in the GM post, I can carry it over myself into my own post... But he'll be sad that the whole fridge didn't go along.

...wait, so there's a goddess actively interfering in mortal affairs? And she's on our side? Coolz! I suggest we persuade her to do all our work for us while we kick back and relax in comfy chairs with footrests that are hovering over the sea while drinking martinis in those tiny glasses that people hold between their thumbs and pinky fingers and they have those little olives with toothpicks in them and all that jazz.

Yes.

Hold on a sec, those brackets aren't being applied correctly; I'm always a lazy asshole...

I could be mistaken here but I was under the impression that miracles were largely one time events if your not a cleric or a deity yourself

...I'm sorry, what about miracles? :\

Also, I'm waiting to post in the RP again until some other people do stuff. Probably gonna try and head back to the city anyways, since only a few moments ago it was teeming with Jackals. (Incidentally, I've been playing a reasonable amount of Kingdom Hearts lately, so I've taken to picturing the Jackals as various types of Heartless in my mind to help me plot out how battles are going and stuff. Still waiting for Organization XIII to show up. :P)

Haven't they already? I mean, ominous evil cryptic dude in a black cloak directing equally ominous, mysterious individuals to do evil stuff? You tried to stab him in the throat? Remember?

Try using a Keyblade next time?

Nah, the RP villains seem a bit closer to the Disney villain council from the original game. Various places of origin, their goals revolving around manipulating a race of eldritch abominations to consume entire lands... Organization XIII was more focused on collecting hearts than directing the Heartless hordes, not to mention all of the secret plans Xemnas and some of the others had going on, some of which didn't even involve Heartless at all.

Ok, no one posted anything on the after teleport.

As it is I have a post that I can write. It's a good post for Rissien, but it'll involve him going ahead, on his own and at high speed to the new town. So that won't open much an interaction line for everyone else, though it might give you a head start in noticing the Elf being odd.

That or I could go with the "pick a fight with everyone with the emblem on their hands" but that would be a pain to coordinate with this many players. And Vic's away these few days, Qara's off for the weekend... You know the issues.

Third option would be not writing anything now and waiting for someone else to go, to see if I get a less anti-social post for the Elf.

Heading for town would probably be Julian's first thought as well, but I'm still probably gonna wait until someone else goes first.

Hey, you want to try and pick a fight, go ahead. Procyon can laugh in your face, because he is an asshole like that.

Procyon apparently has no respect for gods. Big surprise there. He's also an ass. Again, I'm sure you are all shocked. Anyhow, he just decided screw it and took off for the next town. I'm not sure if you have anything planned to happen between here and there, but depending on what it is, I may either have just sacrificed a turn, or, if whatever happens is enough to stop a speeding dragon in human form, I probably ended up accidentally netting myself first turn. Well, whatever. If that happens, I'll deal with it as it comes.

And Julian steps out in person! Yeah, he's kinda worried about Aaron and Natalia and the rest, but he knows better than to go off on his own for those reasons alone. Also, it's a lot easier to get info out of people by talking to them, since you actually get to make decisions on how the conversations flow and stuff.

...I dunno, whatever. :P

If Xana needs someone to stop you I believe I could pull a homing arrow spell out of my ass. I mean, it is a good spell to have, but it would be a wind spell, I guess. On the other hand, it makes sense for me to know at least one wind spell. I already know a fire one. In my mind, Christine is someone who would have been a powerful mage, but due to we having lots of mage subscriptions her own will and not being put onto it she became a ranger. Also she is a dwarf, dwarf have strong magic.

I have a few things to comment on my post, but since no one asked about the infinite arrows nor me "being a good leader" I don't feel like I should say anything. Also I'm too lazy, and might be a little tiny bit busy to write.

For now I think I'll wait for Shane's and eli's reaction to me, then I'll react to Pixel, because I hadn't noticed he spoke aloud.

Eh, Procyon is currently moving at several hundred miles per hour, and due to the nature of his movement - launching himself around with an explosion powered step or two ever few hundred feet - he kinda generates enough random debris interspersed with his magic to screw over any homing spells locked onto either his body or his magic signature.

I supposed you would be using Icarus Wings, but plot beats everything. :P

EDIT: Wait, what about the shockwave of you going away destroying us, a barely 5 meters from the origin point (which I forgot the technical term for)

Nah, I was still accelerating, so I just left a cloud of dust. Short range I can just use my strength mostly with a little boost, I just use the bursts of power from my feet approach to cover long distances.
