A note: Upon posting, I realized I forgot to include the not-plot-post thing. I could include it if you want, but it seems like it would just be easier to make the posts that ARE plot posts, as opposed to marking every single one that isn't.

Thoughts?

The whole marking thing was just my solution to my paranoia about people forgetting it's their turn next. Which I suppose is as easily solved by that post right there.

It strikes me that I could have written much more, but Kasid can't actually do much without the Captain's orders. Which leads me to question: do we have a random unnamed NPC for first mate? If not, I'd like to request random unnamed NPC getting killed by kraken and then Kasid getting deputised, just so that I can write ship-related stuffs :P

Of course, if this seems unreasonable/unjustified/unfair, feel free to ignore me, yo.

Sorry, but no one's getting killed by the kraken, and I'm not sure if we need NPCs onboard on top of our ten characters. I'll leave it up to Jack to choose either Cheon or Kasid-- the two sailors who have been with the ship longest, after him-- to double as Mate, if he wants.

Also agora.
That post was beautiful.

Not to make too fine a point, but navigators rarely, if ever, double as first, because they need to steer the ship and so can't be focusing on getting the crew organised to do whatever. But hey, stuff happens. It could work, I suppose.

And, uh, thanks :D ;)

Incidentally, apparently Agora's character seems to have stomped on all of Xerva's berserk buttons. O_o I knew he would be mad, but he is PISSED.

Really, Sicon, what were you expecting? On the high seas, superstition is the only thing keeping you alive. :geek:

So I- er, the captain has thought about it, and my current decision is: Kasid is first mate, Cheol is second mate. That means Cheol outranks all of you, and Kasid outranks Cheol. This decision is retroactive before this voyage started, and probably a little before that (since it seems like something I really should have thought about before posting started).

I must question the captain's judgement as his first mate just called for said officer's death by Kraken

Just popped in to say that I kind of love how much of a polyglot our Agora is. He can even speak sailor :P

So, yeah... :P

I'm only here on the weekend, so, if you want a back and forth before Mimic leaves, it has to be sometime today. Sorry about the hecticness. :(

But hey, Kraken/Cat/Snake/Person thing there is me. :P And I'm still around for a few hours before I have to move Mimic out of the ship so you can get going with the game.

Sea is still below deck (and naked) so it'll have to be someone else XD

So, talking to Sicon about this. Well, no one interacted further with Mimic. And since he already delivered his message, it's most likely that he stealthily made his leave while everyone looked at everyone else with the "what do you think?" faces.

If you really want to talk to him, let me know. But otherwise just assume he left.

It was so obvious to me that I forgot to mention that to everyone else. Sorry about that.

As I stated before, I'm of the opinion that either you or Qara should make this clear in the RP thread, for the sake of filling in plot holes.

A note on this: My apologies re: Ship. Real life, also known as the fall semester happened, and I abandoned my plans to actually put together enough other interesting and timely plot-stuff to make writing a "Mimic vanishes from the ship" post with Pixie worthwhile.

That said, a) as Pixie has said it, so it is canon: Mimic is no longer aboard; and b) if no one posts further assuming to this effect by my mini-vacation this week, I will put up a short post establishing that fact-- I apologize for not doing so sooner.
