Personality and Motivations: Deadpan and eternally bored. He has no reason to be in the tournament, or to be out of it, he's just there because...

Backstory: Apparently, his life runs on pure luck and random outcomes. Even the fact that he's in the tournament at all seems like a whim of destiny. Or perhaps the floating number that pops up over his head every time he tries to do something, or maybe it was the scrambled ticket that he had to pick from a pool of unidentifiable papers at the last second before taking the train to... Somewhere? Things seem to work out pretty well though. Like that one time when someone tried to mug him and tripped over their shoelaces. The knife flew from the mugger's hand right into a wanted poster in the wall. It just so happened that the wanted guy was passing by at the time and took offence at the knife in his face. Yeah, that was an interesting they. And Kyon even left with all the bounty in his pocket a few hours later!

Other: Everything about him is decided on random numbers. It's all up to Lady Luck, fire a wave motion gun? Might want to roll accuracy there. You know how it goes. Luck!

Also to explain how his mechanics go, I'm totally ok with my opponent doing the dice rolls, or someone mediating the match. But he's as follows.

Every major action is subject to a roll. Either someone attacking Kyon, or Kyon attacking someone. Now, he doesn't have anything special so, the results are skewered in his favor... Apparently a reality wrapper is watching over him or something? Anyway, general rolls are d20. For the effectiveness of whatever action, 1 means a Critical Failure, 2~5 are failures. 6~19 are progressive degrees of success, while a 20 is a Critical Success. To account for the aptitudes, he receives a -1 penalty for each tier higher that his enemy is compared to his own, save for Critical rolls. For example: If he has C speed, and decides to run against someone with A speed, he'd have a -2 applied to the result. There's no positive modifier in case his aptitude is higher than his opponent's.

Now, I don't mean that if he attacks someone and rolls a 6 or 7 he'll win. Even a 12 might just be a graze hit. The more extreme the values, the more insane the outcomes!

Also, all of the rolls are from Kyon's point of view, so, when someone attacks him, he is the one rolling for defense, and when he attacks he rolls for offense. So, to put in perspective, whoever is facing him should be rooting for the lowest values possible.

I did use some odd rolls like d15 or d3, but these are easy enough to emulate, or just use a random number generator online. Like I said, I don't mind even if my opponent is the one doing the rolls. Joke character FTW!

Active Power: Luck's favor. The world apparently folds into impossibilities, so long as Kyon gets a good enough roll. The numbers spawning around him seem arbitrary and affect his actions and any actions directed at him. They are, in fact, truly random.

Passive Power: Lucky outcome. Even though the numeric results are random, the effects of said numbers are skewered in his favor.

Weapon of Choice: Roll a D6, the result is the weapon he'll stumble up on his way to a match:

Technique Effects: Should Kyon roll a 1 on a combat move (Critical Failure), he can choose to spend available capacity points to add to his roll result. For instance, if he rolls a Limit Capacity of 1, he could then react as if the result of the die roll was 2, instead of 1. This cannot be used to raise the result of non-failure rolls.

Appearance: Tall, slender build

Personality and Motivations: Lori really has two sides to her personality. Outside of battle she is a rather good natured fun person. She also has a rather quick temper, so that fun and good natured part can fly out the window if you annoy her. In battle she is cool, confident, and will mock an opponent to make them seem weak to all around her. She wishes to win this battle for king and country.

Backstory: Lori was born into the world kicking and screaming. More so then other children it seemed because she would actively try and punch anyone who tried to touch her with her small baby hands. Growing up she knew exactly what she wanted to be, a captain in the royal navy. Her parents looked down on this dream, finding it improper for a girl to want to be part of the military. Once Lori was old enough she left her home without leaving a note of any kind and went to the academy for all those who wished to join the navy. At first she was denied entry. She convinced the school to take her in by standing in front of the academy and beating the crap out of everyone who tried to enter or exit, and after six days without sleep, food, or water, the school knew which one was going to give out first. And that is how Lori started her career in the navy.

Throughout the years Lori trained and was in the top of her classes, ahead of anyone else, even pointing out how the teachers methods were wrong at some points. It seemed that literally nothing stopped her, and she soon gained the respect or fear of all those around her. When she graduated she was put on the navy's lead flagship the Spearhead. During her first stint of action the ship was attacked by an enemy nations fleet. Halfway through the battle the ships captain was killed by an oncoming cannon blast, leading Lori to take up his coat and lead the counter attack against the fleet. But even still it seemed hopeless. The entire fleet of enemy ships and just one of them. It seemed like that would be the end of the road for her.

That is until one of the gods above looked down upon Lori and found favor in her, and granted her a blessing. So long as people believed in her she would find power that exceeded that of a normal humans.

Lori took noticed of this during the battle about the same time as she managed to cut a cannonball about to strike her in half. With her new found ability she lead her crew against the fleet once more, and with each of them looking toward their new captain. With her at the helm the battle was won by her forces. When she returned home she was a hero to the people, and was even granted her own ship as a reward for her bravery. Years passed and one day the king called upon her services. There was a tournament that had been spoken of, and he wanted her to join it in their kingdoms name. She agreed and set forth, ready for the greatest adventure of her life.

Active Power: Strength from Belief: When people believe she will when, when they cheer for her, when they show any emotion that shows that they have a positive idea that she will when she gains strength from it. The louder they cheer, the more they believe, the stronger she gets. Once people start chanting her name she becomes more like a monster in human form then the innocent girl most people would see.

Passive Power: Skill Boost: As people cheer for her she can begin to pull off skills that would seem impossible to others. She can even learn new styles of fighting on the fly once a group gets really dedicated to it.

Technique Effects: In order to use this style Lori taps into her strongest source of power, her own belief in herself. Combining that with the outside effect she gains access to her most deadly skill set, the Taboo Art. When using Thousand Cuts Lori's blade and body move at blinding speeds, striking at her enemy a thousand times with blinding speed and force. It doesn't matter the size of the weapon she uses, the speed is always the same with this ability.
