Holy crap, an RPG? Ooh, I would so dearly love to play this...

...But I'm having trouble catching up with the ARG itself as it is. Not to mention any character I pull out would probably be overpowered, among other things.

This one is closed, but there is another RPG in the works called the Black Knights that actually uses original characters instead of whatever your avatar was when you start.

As to the overpowered comment, I'm gonna just guess now that you haven't read the posts...

In any case, feel free to drop by here if you want to talk about the RPG posts and give comments and such. I'm sure people here would like to know what someone outside of the player group thinks of our work.

So, Isla, how's that post going? You want anyone for a tag team? Xana said to tag team this battle as much as we want, so everyone has been setting up compilation posts. Take your pick of the characters and start PMing their owners to get a team up going.

In case you missed the post where I said it, Sabrac is mildly annoyed that the guy bypassed his Stigma ability. He rather likes it. I think Pixie phrased it best:

Sabrac is mildly annoyed at Jericho... Meaning he's hunting that creep to the end of the metaverse just because.

The rest of us except Vic are in battle ready condition and good to go. Compilation posts can go either way, so someone might contact you about appearing in theirs soon. I don't know who I will pick for when I post quite yet. Gonna let things develop.

No, but seriously, one of the guys I was contemplating was pretty much considered an ancient god of shadow and arcane magic in his parent mythos (which by this point I've pretty much inherited). Nixed him pretty much right away, partially due to his power, partially due to realizing I'd need to find a matching avatar.

By "talk about the RPG posts" and stuff, do you mean just read through and voice my thoughts? 'Cause that's, what, sixty pages? Seems daunting, especially considering I've still got to catch up on the ARG timeline. Then again, I do seem to be hitting a calm point in my college schedule...

Nah, I meant just read the actual RPG thread if you want and tell us how we did. And yeah, the only things that are more powerful that Sabrac in his verse are god level entities, and he happens to be one of the most broken characters in the series, power set wise.

Again, ancient god of shadow and arcana. Yeah. But sure, if I find the time, I might as well look through it. I looked at Black Knight, and while it's certainly interesting enough to me that I wanna join, I think an RPG with a less defined outline would also be pretty cool, not to mention that since we're on a forum concerning the fourth wall breaking down, it might fit in better thematically.

Flame Wing and Feather's Fiery Sword, from you character sheet. Not that it'll be easy, mind you. But you're last on this turn, there won't be that many things around to swarm you... And you can always PM somone to do a compilation post.

My guess? FOR SCIENCE!
But I think the idea is to make sure everyone get's his chance at initiative, and to make sure we don't have to react to the same characters all the time.

Well, you already have examples of the two main ways. There was what my brother and I teamed up to do, where each of us wrote multiple sections from our character's POV and then put them together so that the POV bounced back and forth. Then there is what you and Vic already did, with you telling him how your character acted and him typing it up for you. That would probably be what you would do with me this turn, though if you want to do it the other way, I could work with that.

I'm doing PoV switchs with Mimsy. We plot a timeline and we write our characters segments as needed...
For instance:
-You attack the ghosts, gets swarmed
-Vic distracts the ghosts, needs help
-You recover, save Vic.

You would write the first and last segments, Vic the middle one. Since his turn comes after Mimsy, if you make a 4-segment plan, you could post 2 in your turn and let a cliffhanger to resolve in Vic's turn.

My first turn was Alice PoV only because I had the initiative, and I had to justify the beginning of the battle before a team up... Now everyone sees a huge white blast and ghosts everywhere and is all out fighting, so it works when you combine posts pulling actions from people late in the turn order.

- He wakes up and sees everything;
