First, I can't bloody think of an in-universe explanation for it. I've been racking my brains since this started, but I STILL can't come up with a way to believably remove most of his regeneration simply because it isn't really regeneration, but just how his physiology works.
Second, if I'm free to let Sabrac get blown up, I can really show how powerful people are. Even if he can reform at will, Sabrac is REALLY hard to destroy. The only times he has been blown up in-series save for the times where he just walks into an attack because he doesn't give a sh*t are when he is out gambitted by the very best of the Flame Haze. If someone is strong enough to blow up Sabrac, they are STRONG. It's really one of the best methods I can use to establish that Sabrac is fighting a really tough opponent.
Finally, we are not, and likely will not be fighting each other, and so the nerfing isn't really meaningful anyhow. Besides, even without regen Sabrac is just broken anyway.
Thoughts, Xana?

Even if Sabrac has metic tons of the stuff he has to recharge, especially after everything he has been doing. You could have a scene where he tries to take in some of the power of exitance from something only for him to find that the flames of other worlds aren't compatible with his. That would mean he would have to conserve his power for attack and allow his body just to heal naturally.

And on Alice, I'm sure you all noticed I deviated a LOT from my initial plan for her... I hope that's ok.
Initially I'd planned on relying mostly on summoning and have Alice uber vulnerable and clueless... But it didn't fit the personality I thought out and I couldn't make anything happen by myself.
All her fights would be: Summon stuff. Stuff dies. Summon More Stuff. Stuff wins fight.
Since I played that emotional breakdown and had some sort of older personality arise, I'm playing more by the Persona rules. She can fight really well, her summons acting for Physical fighting (which she can't do, at all. Sure, I plan on having her summon a knife later on... But no spoilers), and going with the SMT series' Spells, out of which I already used the single most powerful one (Megidolaon), so in that department she can't really get stronger than she already is, only smarter in how to use it.
Thoughts?

Also, I think that sounds great. Alice is being really awesome so far. I mean, why else would I have given her that BGM, which I intended to use for Sabrac doing something insanely epic? I think stronger is always the first step. A lot of series use the Worf Effect because they want the protagonist to get stronger so it's more "interesting" but as long as you use abilities you already have in a smarter way, you can keep the awesomeness escalating for a long time.

Like I said elsewhere, start with any of the "Greatest Battle Music" or "Most Emotional OSTs" or whatever videos and just start going through related vids till you find something that feels just right and paints the picture you want it to.

Now time to get to work on the second half, where we beat up Jericho using Xana's post slot. It'll be up within another day guys, so get ready!

I'm quite honestly scared to click on it.

Ulrich going thunderbeast was unexpected.![]()
On a related note, do you guys have the urge to write lots and lots of scenes for your characters? I mean, it's no longer my turn, I have no idea what the setting for my next post will be... Yet I want to keep writing Alice's scenes!

Yes, I do, but I end up with writer's block, even if I think into a scene for days and days

That's exactly what happened to me this turn, and then I just ended up overhauling the whole thing.
By the way, Pixie, you will be feeling sorry for SOMEONE very soon. Our post isn't done yet... MWWHAHAHAHA!
