Well, I don't know the character, but you've freaked me out. Does that count?

Can we have other characters do things in our posts or can we only go off of what they've said they've done?

Well, would it freak you out even more if you knew that all of those mental monologues were delivered in a near perfectly deadpan, extremely deep, echoing voice that only has the tones "emotionless" and "mildly annoyed"?

You pretty much need to stick to what the owners of the character said. There is margin for error in there, like Xana said he started walking to Pixel, and Pixel could then say something like "Alice didn't notice [Xana's character] had just walked right up behind her". If you start controlling other peoples characters directly, it's called God-modeing.

You need to change the last part. That was god-modeing. You cannot ever guarantee that an attack hits unless you do a very long explanation of why it is unavoidable, and even then, it is up to the character's owner to narrate the attack landing/insane troll logic their way out of it, if possible. Otherwise I would just go, "Red flames of doom. First strike, I lolpwn everyone."

That's much better, Finch. Thanks. Use what my brother and Pixel did as an example, guys. They declared their attacks, and talked about how they fired them at their target. It's nice to put a lot of detail into an attack (If a lot of detail is possible. I'm not sure a normal arrow attack needs any. XD) so that everyone else has a really good idea of what you are doing. And actually, the better you are at conveying your attacks, the higher your success rate will be. Also, it will make the fight scenes awesome.

It's OK. You seem new at this, so just make sure to tell us when your edits are done so we know to re-read. As long as you don't change anything drastically (such as change the type of attack) and just add detail, the next poster can keep going at the same time.

Partially, it's the honor system. If someone starts just ignoring everyone though and going lolimmune to all their attacks, it gets blatantly obvious what they are doing and they can be punished. Basically, when you attack, try to give the best description of the attack that you can give, and that tells people why it should hit. When you dodge or block, explain why you did so, to an extent. Isla's magic shield in her post just now is a great example, and your avoidance of the attack from my brother was perfect, execution wise. Don't worry about it, you seem to be pretty good at this.

IslaKariese wrote:Right, my post's done.
