Sicon112 wrote:That's much better, Finch. Thanks. Use what my brother and Pixel did as an example, guys. They declared their attacks, and talked about how they fired them at their target. It's nice to put a lot of detail into an attack (If a lot of detail is possible. I'm not sure a normal arrow attack needs any. XD) so that everyone else has a really good idea of what you are doing. And actually, the better you are at conveying your attacks, the higher your success rate will be. Also, it will make the fight scenes awesome.

Can I edit that in now, or is it too late?

What's to stop everyone going "I dodge his attack"?

Well, I wanted to make my scene more reasonable. That's true, though...

Good edits, mate. Also, see my previous post.

@ Guyshane

Totally fine, dude. Just get your post in there after you catch up reading. You are next.

Partially, it's the honor system. If someone starts just ignoring everyone though and going lolimmune to all their attacks, it gets blatantly obvious what they are doing and they can be punished. Basically, when you attack, try to give the best description of the attack that you can give, and that tells people why it should hit. When you dodge or block, explain why you did so, to an extent. Isla's magic shield in her post just now is a great example, and your avoidance of the attack from my brother was perfect, execution wise. Don't worry about it, you seem to be pretty good at this.

That's fine. Whether or not an attack hits your character is a really hard decision to make. A lot of web RPGs like this have a dice program that you have to use like in a tabletop RPG, but as long as everyone makes impartial decisions, everything usually turns out fine. Remember, it's not the end of the world if your character gets hit. There are plenty of times when you are going to take damage in fights (especially if you are me, since Sabrac Implacable Mans through everything) and taking some hits doesn't stop you from winning in the end. Use your judgement and Genre Savvyness to determine when and where it is appropriate.

Besides, even if you lose, you can always do it AWESOMELY. I know this for a fact from some of the things my brother has pulled. Loss does not equate character death, either, and you likely will not have to worry too badly about death, as no one is actually going to die in this goofy opening fight, and afterwords we have a team of nine ridiculously strong people, so even if you lose, there will be someone to pull your ass out of the fire.

No, all the magic's in her bow. But I'm glad you liked reading it! I have some experience writing (as evidenced by my fanfiction account) but I never get feedback so the fact that I'm getting compliments makes me all giddy inside.

And yes, you got my gender right!

Hum... Mine is a bit off to the lolimmune side... Edited it to:
"Luckyly none of these orbs hit Alice herself, but one smashed into the Four of Clubs."
Instead of just flat out telling it didn't hit me...
Danmaku, safespots... you know... Not going to rely on that blind luck and I've already put the Jack of Hearts to act as a cover... so... :(

Well, these are laser beams. Those swords are magically enhanced enough to block that, right?

Oh don't worry about it. That was a perfectly reasonable way to do that. It's not like Marissa was AIMING at anything, so safe spots are perfectly reasonable. Besides, your minion took one hit, and you had the other one to guard you regardless.
