Dude I don't think anyone knows what your talking about

I accidentally posted the Wall Of Text I was creating for my next turn instead of hitting the preview button. I deleted it right after, but if someone was quick enough, they could have gotten to the page before I deleted, and if they didn't leave/update it, they could conceivably read it early and ruin the surprise.

I read a few lines before thinking "Aw crap now I have to think of some sort of punishment for a player breaking the rules" But it was an accident so I will let it slide.

Oh! Shit, I thought you were talking about something embarrassing or whatever. Nearly had a heart attack over your panic, dude.

Gimme a sec to see how many words it is... HOLY SH*T! 2000 words, over ELEVEN THOUSAND CHARACTERS. OK, Two Steps From Hell was REALLY overkill!

Sooooo sorry about that. It nearly gave me a heart attack when I got the "Message Submitted" screen.

That's why I just pre-type my turns on the notepad or word or something like that. :D

By the way... About images... I have found one to use one I finally get to trigger Die for Me. It'll be awesome. :gurt:

I just proof-read my post, since I have time. What the hell have I DONE?! I overdid this so much that it defies all of my attempts to describe it in words! This is the first encounter. There is no excuse for being this over-the-top! ...And yet, I can't bring myself to rewrite the whole thing... What should I do? :(

Write another. Toned down. Keep this .txt to use in a more suitable ocasion.

Or just go ahead and use the current .txt for the sake of it.

Offnote: I'm going out now... Woke up way to early today to stay awake longer (11PM over here)

*blinks, shrugs* Modify it, a little. Don't rewrite, just... make it more realistic to the context's standards.

Remember we want to leave at least two per person when it comes to the knights. More if more but hopefuly not less.

Well, I mean, I have a reasonable explanation for why what I did worked, and the draft only has me killing four bats and the couple knights that remain after you guys get done kicking ass. It's just that it was insanely flashy, the collateral damage it caused was completely disproportionate to the situation, and my metaphors went totally out of control.

On the other hand, this is the first post where I feel I have actually conveyed Sabrac's character correctly, and sometimes flashy with lots of collateral damage is good, right? The metaphors are still sorta over the top, though.

How about I take a vote overnight? If I can't decide what to do by morning, I'll take the results of the vote and use that.

So, should I post the original, ridiculously awesome and explosive file, or try and tone down the collateral damage a bit and kill them in a tamer fashion?

Really good question, the answer being I have no freaking clue. Anyway I was just saying so long as you don't make it godmodding making it as awesome as you want. Just don't say 'and my laser was stronger than the knights armor so than it died" and I am cool with whatever.

Actually, despite my ridiculous power levels, my attack WASN'T strong enough to break their armor. I just assumed that the armor was, as far as the RPG goes, completely unbreakable, since you used absolutes in your post. Therefore, I just creatively abused physics to kill them in a way that was probably worse for them then what would happen if the armor broke.

Out of curiosity, the suits we are talking about here are standard, if ominous looking and magically amplified, plate-mail, correct? Would that mean that there are tiny gaps in the plates that can be used as attack points? I operated under the assumption that their were, but they were, of course, in non-vital areas and just used it to paralyze a knight for a few seconds, a trick which didn't even play out. If you decide that that wouldn't work, just tell me and I can remove it.

But yea, there really wasn't any godmodeing. I even took two hits and something happened to Sabrac that made him... well not quite angry, just ever so slightly upset. He doesn't really ever get angry.

As long as you make things fair that is fine. And I suppose tiny cracks could be there yeah. The main weakpoint was the brain through.

Like I said, I tried to stab i's kneecap, but it didn't really work. It just kinda overbalanced it for a second, but then I took the second hit and went for a little flight. I made the knights Lightning Bruisers BTW, since your description made them sound like it.

Yeah they are basicly demonic energy trapped inside of armor and held together by the brain.

Erm... I was kinda going with they had some kind of zombie like body inside there that was animated by the demonic energy. Is that wrong then?

Huzzah. Then everything is good. Well, I'm going to show my draft to my brother to see if he thinks it's ridiculous. If HE says that it is crazy, I KNOW I have to rewrite.

That post is completely ridiculous and so far over the top it'll probably at LEAST match what I have MARISA do.

In short, I think it's a great idea! DO IT.

Um, just a thought I had before I go to bed.

I was just reading over the RPG so far, and it struck me how everyone glosses over all the events of previous posts. Now, I'm not a super experienced RPer or anything, so some of you probably know better than me, but it seems to me that while it would be redundant in most cases to cover a scene multiple times in a book, part of the fun of RPing is getting to see all of the various character's reactions to each situation. I mean, sure, your character isn't going to pay attention to everything that happens, but I think sometimes you should put in dialogue from other scenes as well, and narrate as if you are going through them all over again. I've been doing that whenever I can justify Sabrac actually caring about stuff that goes on, though that's part of why my posts are so long. I totally get it if no one wants to, and I'm not saying that it really should be done. I'm just thinking that maybe things would be more interesting if we could look at all the character's points of view. It really gives those of you who are not currently holding the initiative a perfect time to expand your characterization.

Thoughts?
