Great to know. Also, since the knights are from my character's game, I already know them.

Finch's edit makes that 12/16

I see your post Vic, but... erm... you sorta god-moded me a bit there. Your post makes no sense chronologically with what I'm about to do. It's OK to do stuff like that, but you should message the person first so you can work together. In fact, the more people collaborate, the more awesome this is gonna get... but yea.

Vic got himself into trouble, but his post basically makes my post completely impossible time wise... so I'm not sure if that is going to change...

Well it's pretty much that Vic decided to attack someone lower on the initiative order than himself. However, that forces me to either cause a paradox or be in a certain place at a certain time. My post has me waiting for a while as you guys move, since I'm the last guy, and then I wipe out the final mooks, however many that may be. First off, Vic's post forces me to act earlier than that, second, Vic gets attacked by monsters AFTER I have acted, but my post is supposed to finish the last ones. There are a lot of more specific issues, but I couldn't say those without spoilers.

In short. Vic's non-GM post hijacked the initiave order. It also skipped Marisa's turn as she didn't do anything at all in his post and she moves before Sabrac.

Rework in order maybe?

Yus. Though I don't know how, since Vic up and left.

Solution: Vic makes his way towards where I stand on my pillar of flame, but is immediately forced away instead and says nothing specific about the subject. However, he needs to remember that I'm sitting on a thirty to forty foot tall pillar of flame that is sending rings of fire out to a giant circle of MORE fire between me and him that is probably about 50 feet in diameter. Would he really attack THAT?

Lets just continue assuming Vic gets into the trouble he says at the end, but not saying what he did before that. When he returns, he can modify his post to have a different subject so it all matches. So Xana just Big Damn Heroes for Vic again and we go over to my brother without really addressing the time paradox till Vic can come and edit.

Yeah I think he should rework it. And for future reference and as a rule for everyone the actions of your post take place both before(meaning from the last GM post) and only after the person who posted before you. You can say what you are doing after someone elses turn. It limits us but it helps control confusion as well

So the average post should be something along the lines of

React to GM post, react to players who came before you, react for yourself, end turn.

You attacked the two people lower in initiative than you. That causes a time paradox since I don't actually kill any knights till after you have already moved, and after I have moved, everything is dead, which means that you cannot be cornered as you are at the end of your post. Also, I HIGHLY doubt your character would try to attack my character after what you see me do in my upcoming post. Trust me on that.

You God-moded him. He was going to finish off the last and he had this big plan and you created a huge paradox that's gonna destroy the universe. Thanks.

Can someone tell me what did I do wrong and how I can fix it? And if I take too much time to answer, it's because I'm doing the dishes.

Also, Xana, I guess I could use some of your help ;)

Self-quote. I'll edit a more through explanation here.

First, you didn't react to the knights appearance, you ignored them and moved towards a player still to make his move in this development. So far that's fine, but then you god-mod him into not acting on you and move to another character that will react BEFORE the first can not-react.

That alone is a time paradox.

And then you encounter the knights and bats... That'll be already dead after the remaining turns.

In short, what you should do. Deal with the mobs. Forget Sabrac and Marisa for now.

You attacked me and said I was standing there after finishing off my opponents. I finish off my opponents after everyone else is done, therefore, a paradox. You attack my brother without knowing specifically where he will be, again, that causes trouble. Finally, you get attacked by creatures AFTER you have claimed I finished my targets off, but my targets were the last ones alive, and therefore the creatures attacking you cannot exist.

The way you can fix this is to not say anything specific at all about me or my brother. You can have a sentence saying you move towards where I LAST was, on my giant pillar of fire with a wall of flame between you and the base of it (How the hell are you planning on attacking me there anyhow?) but the moment you say that, you need to have something else happen and not give specifics about me or those below you. Otherwise contradictions arise.

I forgot to take in account that the Knights and Bats could be all killed before my next time. But the only reason I added that was to have something bad to happen to my character. Also, I think I can delete the part where I set up a bomb next to your brother. Now that I think of it, it really is trouble some. Anything else?

Repeating: I was being generic. Since you said you were going to fight some mooks, it is logical to assume I can wait until you have finished them to attack you, because after your next post it wuld be too late. But to do things like this, we should PM each other, because otherwise it would be paradoxical and it would limit the things we can do in our posts.

Agreed. I already brought up the PM thing. But really, there is no way in HELL your character is going to try to attack mine right of the bat after what I'm about to do...

Just my 2 cents... I think it EXTREMELY UNLIKELY that Isaac can simply stand around and be safe the whole fight until after the Sabrac move... Binding is a Real Time Roguelike... You'd be dead by going to the bathroom with the game running. And the room is going to hell here. And the knights are from there so...
