Also, what I meant as a dead body was more of a fresh dead body. As in killed on screen just to shake some fear of the dark into our parnoid character's heads. That he was a Psychic is all the best: One of the main attack forces insta-killed. Sure scares any would-be hero.

Eeeh, I don't think it's worth the trouble, but I suppose if Xana really wants to...

I don't know, Mimsy's character seems a bit too badass for a horror RP. It wouldn't be scary if he just outright murders every Freak we come across..

I don't think he is that good, actually. That was a super weak freak, probably the weakest that will ever appear in this RP, and it still took a full clip of ammo from his friggin' HUGE revolver to kill it. If there were even TWO freaks there, he probably would have at least been pretty badly hurt, and if it had actually been capable of mental assaults, he would have been in deep sh*t. None of us are gonna be worth anything all by ourselves. Xana did a really good job of setting up the class system to make it that way.

Sweet. My next post will be rather long as well (Not as long as this one, probably.) because I need to follow up on events shortly after I reach London and get those files from The Order. I purposely made it so my guy was actually contacted earlier than most of the others, because The Order knew just how stubborn and paranoid he is. They wanted extra time to get him to join, so I have a free day that the timeskip passes. I'll just flash back to the end of my first Crazy Prepared gambit and then head on into the house.

Please note: None of my character's gambits, including this one, are going to end the way he wants them to. Some of them will work, sure, but there will be many issues and setbacks along the way. Since this is a more gritty RP, I'm going for more realism.

Ok. I read through Mimsy's post. It's well-written, but feels... unrelated. Like a detailed description of the hunt, "and then they called him to a new mission and he agreed". Not really my business, though.

Sicon's character. Alister. Sweetie. He's my fucking hero. If I knew him in advance, I'd pick a female character just so that I could have his babies in the epilogue. (No homo. ) He deserves a story fully dedicated to his shenanigans.

Ok, I'm done. A more urgent question: how are we to implement the characters' interactions? I haven't done this before. If we are to write a passage from our character's POV, we may wreck other people's characters. If we only write our characters' actions, the thread will look more like a chat (not a bad thing, but would be tedious to follow). So?

Also, re: discussion about the characters' survival rate... I didn't really design my character with survival rates in mind. This is gonna suck.

I designed mine with the idea that we're all gonna get maimed horribly and possibly even die. So yes, I had survival rate in mind. Just not in a good way.

Just cause I sound half decent when I sing doesn't mean I sound okay when I talk, but I won't know until I try . Either way you all get to hear hear my attempt at an American accent.

I knowthe feeling although apparantly being young and female gives my character an increased chance of survival... or something.

Don't worry, British accents don't bother me a bit. I hear a lot of them, actually. Dunno why, but I keep running across brits on the internet. It's gotten to the point that I actually slip into vaguely British accents in the middle of sentences every now and then, and that has happened so much that the rest of my family has started doing it too. It's funny that this comes up because just the other day a friend of the family was laughing at us for all slipping into British accents in the middle of a conversation...

If I'm being totally honest, Dryu, I took one look at this RP and two words popped into my head. Those two words were the core of Alister's character. Those two words happen to also be "Crazy Awesome". I'm glad I succeeded, but the shenanigans are not done yet! Just wait and see what he does once he touches down in London!

As to character interaction, this can go one of two ways. The first is open ended interaction. Person A makes a post where they ask a question to the other characters, such asking for their names or something. The other characters lower in the post order come in and answer the question in each of their posts. However, this is not conductive to conversations, and you always have to be careful that you do not force someone into doing something. (i.e. In the upcoming turn, you direct a comment to me, but I wanted to come in late and our posts form a contradiction.)

The second method is to PM plans back and forth, with the poster writing up stuff and sending it to the addressed character for their reactions or similar things. This makes conversations much nicer and makes the scene flow better, but it can sometimes be bothersome to set up. I'm always willing to do posts like that if it fits with my own posts, but sometimes other people may not want to.

Well. Mimsy is a non-crazy badass. You know what Horror Tropes dictate, don't you?

Scarab. Record it! And don't force your accent. Just speak naturally, forced accents are way harder to understand than natural speak and this comes from one who has english as a second language, trust me.
Also, your character is British! If she doesn't speak in a British accent it will hurt realism and suspension of disbelief.

On conversations: Anyone can PM me for it at any time. I'm always up for combination posts like this.

Well, if I understand him, Dryu is criticizing Mimsy because he spent so much time on the hunt and not a lot on getting the call. I think the reason he did that is the same reason I made my post the way it is. He wanted to use this chance to let people get a good idea of his character. He just did it in his own way instead of reacting to the message like I did.

I didn't see our RPG sheets. I was starting to feel envy.

Not to be the party pooper, but I do want to point out that unneccesarily long RP posts will end up being frustrating rather than exciting. I'm already tempted to skip/skim some of what you guys have wrote due to tl:dr. Basically, you don't need that much space to say something. Be conscious of your readers, and edit, edit, edit. As they said in my creative writing class, sometimes you have to murder your darlings.

Btw, Xana, you may want to edit the OP in the RPG thread to include recent changes.
