Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and heard something in your house? Not another person, you would know the difference between the sounds a person makes and the sound of whatever was in your house right now. You grab some sort of defense and slowly make your way out of your bed to investigate. What you see horrifies you for the split second that you are left alive. After that you are left as nothing but a bloody corpse on your carpet. The thing that just killed you is known as a Freak.
And just so you know, it doesn't exist. If you were to ask anyone that knew about the Freaks if they existed you would be laughed off, and then you would be killed and have it claimed as an accident. The Freaks have been around a lot longer than humans, waiting, planning, and killing as they please. They come in many different forms, but one thing is the same for all of them. They hate you, and they want you dead.
A small order does exist which knows about these creatures. They have been hunting down the Freaks ever since man could fight back. They gather together those that can fight against the dark and they train them to battle against it. You are the last line of defense against mankind and a force that would gladly see them dead. Good luck.
This RP will go by the name Black Knight. The purpose of this RP is for a group of highly trained agents to investigate paranormal activity caused by a race of beings codenamed “Freaks”. Once found they must be destroyed or captured for further study. Thankfully mankind has one or two tricks up its sleeves with which to fight. In order to join you must create a character sheet that follows this format

Field of Study (weapons, occult, street smarts, science, computers)
Short Bio: (three or four sentences telling your characters back story and how they came to join the Order.)
Class Abilities
Soldier: Trained in all manner of weapons. These are the front lines men for taking out the human followers of the Freaks, but are more vulnerable to the mental attacks of the Freaks.
Psychic: Humans who through luck or birth were born with amazing sensitivity to the supernatural. They may also gain some unnatural power the more they are exposed to the darker elements. They are normally a bit frailer than normal people but make up for it by being trackers and having abilities not many others have
Investigator: A bit of a Jack of All Trades master of none. This class is not frail, but they are not weak either. They know how to use quite a few weapons and can hold their own if their minds are trying to be invaded by the Freaks. Their main claim to fame is the ability to recognize clues where none others could and being almost perfect judges of character
Templar: A title passed down long generations of families who have battled against the freaks. They are mostly trained in bladed weapons, believing that the modern gun is not the weapon to battle freaks with. They use the power of their belief and devotion in order to block Freaks mental attacks. Their faith in whatever religion they were born into can become a potent weapon for removing the spirit class of Freak if they possess someone. Being around one of them makes it a bit easier to hold back the mental attacks of Freaks. Due to their beliefs they will not kill another human being, but will happily allow their team mates to remove any evil worshipers
Fields of Study
Weapons: When all else fails, shoot it. People who have this field of study have a deep appreciation for weapons and can modify them and even create stronger weapons with the materials around them.
Occult: Do those people in the blue robes worship the sun or that rock over there? If someone has studied the occult then you know that they are the one you should ask. They have special contacts in the crazy cults and can figure out if the murder was used to summon a demon god. If not you should ask the Investigator.
Street Smarts: With an ear to the ground and a jive in their step people who know about street smarts can easily point out gang signs and find the worst parts of any town or city before anyone else. They have contacts in the underworld and can “arrange” special weapon delivers for his team mates.
Science: What two chemicals mix together to create a colorless, odorless, gas that will kill someone in five seconds flat? Ask someone in this field for the answer. With unrivaled prowess in all things Science they can create explosive mixtures and mix together a potent knock out gas.
Computers: Damn error message &%$#% again. How the heck do I solve this? Step aside and allow the computer expert to handle that. If you run into a computer with information that will be deleted if you so much as press the wrong key the computer expert is the only one to turn to. Able to hack almost any computer to date they are rather useful against the more technologically minded cultists.
Special Abilities
For lv. 1 Psychics you can choose one from the following list
Minor Telekinesis- able to lift small objects about the size of a basketball with their minds. Also throw it really hard
Psychic Residue: You are able to open your six sense and see the traces of dark energy left in a room after a murder or Freak attack
Mind Flame: The most powerful psychic ability you can gain at the beginning. You are able to set things on fire with your mind. Be careful through, this can cause as much damage to you as your enemies, and once the fire is unleashed, there is no way to control it.
Templar’s
Shield: You can create a shield around two of your ally’s minds that stops a Freaks mental attack from ripping their minds to shreds.
Miracle Healing: Place your hand over a friends wound and wish upon a star and once a day you can heal any wound your friend has gained without so much as leaving a scar
Minor Detect Possession: Has a spirit type Freak taken over someone’s mind? With this ability a Templar can detect minor Freaks inside of the person’s body.
