I could have Seire return and start being awesome, if you need me to. In the post that's already up, they DID send for him, after all...

Should be done tomorrow. I just had college interviews all day, probably the most important ones, and Vic is at a party.

Ok... So, considering that there are only two ways to leave the Castle, one being reaching the top, and the other being dying. Scarab asked what would happen if a character died in FC...

Well, even as GMs, Eli and I have no idea. The bodies would crumble and disappear, whether the character is dead dead, or teleported back home, we don't know. No one knows.

A point was brought up, and I'm sure someone would consider the SCIENCE approach... So.. I'm going OOC here: We'll not put a suicide cult in the game, just plain no. And you guys, don't do anything stupid regarding this. Personally? I'd rather end the game, so don't even think about that.

Yeah, Eli here. uh, I won't put anything like a suicide cult into the game. :/ It just goes in a direction that the castle doesn't want to go in.

I'm not even going to ask where you got that idea >.>
Why should we do the right thing?
-Well... because it's the right thing to do, there's no other good reason.

Am I a bad guy trying to be good, or a good guy trying to convince himself that he's not the bad guy?

The chatroom can be a disturbing place sometimes, and we can be disturbing people considerably more often. :/

So, apparently I'm the sanest madman this side of the international date line. Seems legit.

That's actually the reason I didn't say any names there.

I know I'm sounding very aggressive in there, sorry about that. But while experimentation is fine and Eli and I are trying to keep it as open as possible for you all to think and do nearly anything you could want to, I feel that that is one line that I should define very clearly so that there's no chance to cause a misunderstanding.

Yes, the idea of death in the castle is a mystery, you're all welcome to think about it, have your characters think about it. It's part of the mystery, part of the fun. It's just that the kind of action above won't happen.

So, it's still only an ink because I'm not sure how to colour it, yet, but I gave drawing Qara Xuan Zenith's Ben a shot.

I shall colour it later. I'm not altogether happy with the post or body though, so I may cut it down a bit before I do. :)

Ok, annoying reminder that the time limit for Sicon's and Vic's post is tomorrow night. Roughly 24h from now, but a little more than that.

If the post doesn't go up, I'll write a failure resolution and we can move to the next step regardless.

Im awaiting for Sicon to send me back his part, and I'll need to take time tomorrow to write mine. Gosh, I hope I manage to be online when he does that, and to be online to write it =/ :S :(

As much as I'd like to wait for a proper post... It's been one month since this turn went up. January 28th. Even with the delay on the first part it went up February 11th. So we're waiting for part two for 18 days today. Part 1 took in total 15 days to go up.

Failing won't incur any kind of penalty to your character sheets, so you won't actually lose anything. But you will look like chumps. A failure resolution is not meant to be fulfilling and gratifying. I really hope you can do it in time.

Ok, the italics there sounds BAD. Sorry. :(
Your characters will be rendered useless in the resolution of the quest, that's what I mean. Very sorry about that. >_< My bad for using "I" for all my characters.

Post roughly 50-60% complete now. Vic is at dinner and I'm working over here, and when he gets back, we will do character interaction and Vic will complete his segment. After that, I just need to finish up Kurt's last part, which I may cut significantly short. I should be able to get it up SOME time in the next eight or so hours, which will result in me staying up all night, but I should be able to manage it.

Uh... No need to stay up all night. You could wrap it up tomorrow during the day, without having to, you know, stay up all night. :?

Ok, Vic asked to post the actual time limit, so, the quest expires at midnight EST. (That's 2AM for both of us, Vic)

Posted. And this marks the first use of what I am sure Pixel and eli will agree is this RPG's theme song. Swordland, meet Floating Castle.

On another note, I really want to write all of the boss battle fighters actually meeting/being at the cathedral. (like its a hospital or something?) I dunno, just a thought.

Well, Vic and I were going to use some of that for a plot of a side story, but now that I think about it, perhaps an event in the side stories thread for the "Aftermath"?

Likewise, I believe Storm and Drive has something in the works for that thread because I've been bugging them all :D But if there's somewhere specific you guys would like to set the aftermath, I'm sure was can adapt to it.

Other stuff lots of us have in mind, too. I'm starting to wonder if there's going to end up being more than one of those Side Stories threads. Some of our side stories are developing to the point where they feel as huge as the actual quests. Not that this is a bad thing. ;)

And also yes: THAT is the song.
