Agora's character Eliziya came out of my sketching pactise session today. As did coloured pencils. Yay for coloured pencils.

Not sure what's going on with her hands XD

Well, as you can see the awesome Agora made our FC post. He did all the formatting and all the boring jobs and everything. I just snoozed.

It was really fun working with Agora, and Eliziya. Guy's a badass writer. Looking forwards to doing so again. 8-)

It was fun writing with you, Scarab :D Sorry for slacking off so much for the actual writing. Your writing's awesome ;)

Jeeze, I have been sitting on this for literally weeks, now the first Boss Quest is done, I can finally post it. This is sort of the aftermath of Hector and Anji, and Tamar and Eliziya's part in the Kobold Boss Fight: they basically just ran into each other

No idea what they're saying but it's probably along the lines of 'who the HELL is that guy with an arm around my sister?!'

Suggested Mod Quest:
Okay so... I’m not sure if this is acceptable as a challenge at this stage but you know what? Sod it, I’m suggesting it anyway, you'll only say no :D. So then, Pixelmage and Eli_Gone_Crazy, here’s a challenge for ya both:

Mod Quest, Pixelmage and Eli_Gone_Crazy: Déjà Vu Day

Ever get the feeling you’ve done all this before?

You sure as heck do. One minute you were fighting your way through a weird, underground temple to find some mysterious treasure, which turned out just to be some old trinket. But it wasn’t a totally wasted day, you did manage to snag some loot. And then the next day you were fighting your way through a weird, underground temple to find some mysterious treasure, which is kind of like the day before that when you were fighting your way through a weird, underground temple to find some...

...Wait, something isn’t right here. Either there’s some pretty ridiculous magic afoot, or you’re getting a serious case of Deja vu. :?

Quest: Your characters are trapped in a groundhog day loop. Figure out how to break the cycle, or be stuck reliving the same day for god only knows how long.

I'm thinking about taking an Underground mission, does anyone wanna join? I don't think I'll be able to this week (Friday is okay, I guess, but Saturday and Sunday are not), so next week Friday may work, though I still will have to see if the weekend is okay.

I'm down for a quest with you if no one else wants to. Besides you wanted to do a little side thing anyway.

Well, I was hoping to fight angainst you, and I don't think that's probable to happen in an underground mission. Well, what I really wanted to happen was to show how I'm not that good swordman now so I could improve later and face you at an equal level, but I think we can do that in the quest without fighting angaist each other. Also, I have many ideas for it, and no, I'm not overthinking, I'm just creative! >.<

Uh. Isn't PvP completely not part of the scope of Floating Castle at all, on any kind of mission? I might be wrong here, just the impression I got was that on any given quest, we're supposed to work WITH each other, not AGAINST...

Nonono, not fighting in that way, more like training fight. Not as he going to kill me or anything. Or even hurt me, for that matter.

Well, he's on at least aquaintence terms with Morionem's future guild leader, after all... could be the chance for development there :)

Now it's been accepted, I shall be a bit more specific with this idea. Yay! (Thanks to Adell for helping me figure out the logic of all this).

Mod Quest, Pixelmage and Eli_Gone_Crazy: Déjà Vu Day

Ever get the feeling you’ve done all this before?

You sure do! One minute you were fighting your way through a weird underground temple in search of loot. The place wasn't exactly a goldmine, but it wasn’t a completely wasted day, and you did manage to snag some treasure down there. The trouble began the next day as you were fighting your way through a weird, underground temple in search of loot, which is kind of like the day before that when you were fighting your way through a weird, underground temple in search of...

...Wait, something isn’t right here. Either there’s some pretty ridiculous magic afoot, or you’re getting a serious case of Deja vu. :?

Quest: Your characters are trapped in a groundhog day loop. Figure out how to break the cycle, or be stuck reliving the same day.

  • The loop is unnoticeable at first, but as you relive the loop you’ll begin remember bits and pieces of previous loops (like an increasing sense of deja vu).
  • This rule also applies to your physical status, however. As you begin remembering more of previous loops, injuries or other such activates will begin carrying over as well .
  • The Method of escaping the loop is ultimately up to you, but the origin of the loop is within the temple. Also, no matter what actions you try to take during the day, your characters will always somehow end up at the temple before the loop is over.

I love time shenanigans, but I don't think I'd go well in this quest because I don't think I could make a good time story, nor I know what is the meaning of shenanigan. :?

It certainly sounds interesting. Wouldn't know how to write it, though the creative possibilities are endless...

I was struggling to define shenanigans... it's kind of like a generic term for the sort of stuff people are doing when they pull pranks, but it's also what people are doing when they just mess around and do something fun and silly, regardless of what it is they're doing. I consulted dictionary.com, which suggested "mischief" as a synonym, and I think that works pretty well. Shenanigans=mischief

Shenanigans, to me, are like humorous or absurd situations that characters get involved in. The characters themselves may not find them humorous, but the situations are generally silly.

Anyway, it looks... well, it looks like a survival horror. How's about it, Shane? You up for it?

Yay, Reward Tiem!

Adell ~ Battle Axe- This axe came courtesy of the lumberjacks Hector was helping. They were wincing at the sight of a nice sword being ruined by the stubborn old trees, and as a form of thanks, donated their best axe to the one who saved them from the kobolds!... He never did get any Ale though.
eli_gone_crazy ~ Kobold Bracelet- ah, right, me. uh, well its a funny story... *nervous laugh* (I'm gonna let you explain this one, O mage-y one) Pixel here. Well, the bracelets granted the leader a relfex boost. It's how he could quick-cast the thunder at Anji when she closed on him, and how he managed to dodge a lethal blow from Vic's last attack. It doesn't give power, just an adrenalin shot to give you a faster reaction time for a fraction of a second. The catch is that it disarms and falls off your wrist when it activates, so you'd have to stop to pick it up and wear it again. Considering the kind of instances where it fires off, that means this is a limited defensive tool.
Sicon112 ~ Steel String. Because what type of ninja templar assassin doesn't need Quality murderous implements? Basic twine, it's versatility is its strength. I'm sure Kurt will find some use for it.
Victin ~ Polished Wooden Shield. Again, pretty self-explanatory. The mage needs to learn better defense, and in the meantime he has a nice shiny shield to protect him from miniscule lizard men.
Scarab ~ Melted Gold. - yeah, so Tamar may have kept all the gold, even if its a bit melted, its still useful. maybe it'll get used for something? *hint hint nudge nudge wink wink* (I'd invest in the one ring, personally :P)
agoraoptera ~ Blue Spell: Thunderbolt. This one is... weird. (feel free to correct me, pixel) Basically, Zi got hit in the face with lightning, and, by some weird stroke of luck, survived! This created this weird measure of leftover mana(?) that can be used to send bolts of lightning towards enemies. That's a single spell. Not the Lightning spell school of other mages. Zi can't mess around with thunder powers, she can just fire a blast of it.

Her name is Zorica, and Hector will treat her like another member of the weapon family

He will refrain from doing lumber work until they remember to get him ale though.
