Hm... Is the lightning spell able to be passed around to other mages?

Not by teaching at this point. We'll have to establish a Magical Academy eventually, to start unlocking some magic goodness having it as a hub.

Right now, my basis for that is pretty much old school Blue Magic. Also because Zi was actively healing herself as the thunderbolt hit, so her own magic touched the thunderbolt itself directly.

I personally like the idea that magic is unlocked through unusual means over just straight up teaching it.

In a way, that's never really going to happen. The easy teaching, I mean. But a hub for magical studies can open up a lot of options. Make people have a way of getting better at what they know, for one thing. Another one is being a place for certain services like alchemy and potion-making in general. Which is one of the things that's closest to happening on that front: Potion-making.

As far as character customization goes, the idea is that everyone will shoot up and be unique, in the end. So actually learning new things and customizing the characters is something to really aim for, rather than just staying with the generic every-NPC-has-it things.

So, what sort of spells does the character start off with, then? Pan hasn't done a single mission, so if spells are actual rewards here, I need something to be going with.
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

No real limitation. Powerwise the effects are pretty weak right now, but you have Lightning and Healing, so you can cause shocks, thunderbolts, sustain a spark to use as lantern. Considering that the damage itself isn't all that big, you can do pretty much anything you want to do. The limitation is in there for Tera because his character actually has Fire and Healing, so, no mastery over Lightning to actually adapt the spell.

As for healing, it can stop a bleeding, dull some pain... But not precisely seal wounds and reattach lost limbs.

Small effects, but if it is inside the realm of the elements you picked, you can create your own spells.

Heh. With that said, I half-expect you to give me an Ice spell as a reward and watch with utter glee as Pan falls ass over tea-kettle trying to use it.

Certainly I think a useful thing would be a repository: a library of some kind, not just for magic but in general. Knowledge being the key to a lot of things... how people choose to use that is up to them.

We were throwing around the idea of an aftermath at the cathedral. Maybe we can get you into that.

Okay, thanks! Eli explained what to do if I'm in a side story.

Hey Eli, who's the underground quest for, I don't think you wrote who it's assigned to. (By the description, I can safely assume it's not me)

You SHOULD be laughing evilly.

I enjoyed that Underground mission SO much. I'm suddenly tempted to go down there myself, it seems like such fun! For a dark evil smelly place covered in bedraggled fungus. :D

The story was great Qara... and now I feel sorry for Ben, which I don't think she'd thank me for but tough, she'll just have to deal :P

Hey, guys quick question. I noticed the town in the Floating Castle does not appea to have been given a name, Pixel says this was deliberate, anyway I'm writing a short side story right now, and I sorta mention the town by name in it.

What do you guys think of a name for the town? I've been calling it Castletown myself, which seems fitting enough, but anybody got any other ideas?

Right now I'm leaning more toward Moocowvilleingtonburgh, possibly with a "City" after that.

Someone in the chat suggested Providence, which currently has my vote. If you can work that into the cow theme, I might be swayed, though. :P
