A) Handwave for a lightning ball spell. Even a temple stone would work, it's just a conduit for the spell.

B) Julius shoved his two swords into the Minotaur's stomach, Pan used them as Lightningrods to shock him from inside out.

I used the term ice stone since water conducts electricity and Pixie confirmed to me that it wouldn't be unusual for there to be magical rocks within the Castle. Pan has no lightning spells at her disposal and can only do the very basics, so she has to make do with what she's got.
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

Her magic is strong enough to do that? :o
Dolphins are some of the smartest animals, yes, but by human standards… Let's say you should praise the god that forces them to stay handless and underwater.

Well, I'd imagine that the inside of a minotaur is a lot more fleshy and susceptible to damage than the outside. What the swords did was give Pan a way to shock him on the inside, which takes a lot less power than if she'd tried to do the same thing to his harder, tougher outsides.

the magic shown is very basic. She DID make use of the resources around her though. the ice stone and the swords acted like a conductor.

Was it pure water? Relatively no impurities or dissolved substances?

I wouldn't think so, no. Dunno about FC rules, but there are only so many places you can get pure water, science labs and the icebergs of the poles included.

...eh, I'm still unsure if it would work. Pure water is actually an insulator, as it turns out; only with a bunch of stuff in it does it become able to conduct electricity. As a solid... *shrug*

I looked it up. Ice still conducts electricity.

Yeah, I was gonna go with logic first, but if facts didn't add up, I would've said, "Yeah, well, magic." :P

Well, the way I see it, any kind of stone would work.
Pan is a mage, thus, she can make thunder-effects. The fact that it was an "ice rock" or a stray piece of statue from the temple, that's just a handwave for how she creates her spells: By using a medium rather than just throwing lightning around from her fingertips.

I'm just... Going to... Leave the area... And stop being nerdy about it... ._.

If by 'monster' you mean 'genius of staggering proportions', then I agree with you. :P

Man, I love what everyone has written here. Genevieve is just fifty different shades of awesome and I <3 her.

Quest 13: Don't Rock the Boa- Erm... Castle

This was a triumph!

Fade's Reward: Congratulations! You have received a Letter of Service for your troubles from the head of the City Guard, Legias! With this valuable loot, you can... um... do... stuff. OK, so it's just a signal that you can have access to some city guard only areas and services, but still, I'm sure you can put it to use, right?

Quest 14: Flame War

Just making a note here, huge success!

Anji's Reward: After your snazzy job of saving the villagers and telling off their jerk of a headman, they have decided... to hold another election! Seriously why was that guy the boss in the first place? They don't know, and neither do you. Oh, and they decided to give you a jo staff too. Apparently, this 1.27 meter long stick of white oak is a useful combat weapon, and has a whole style based around using it, especially to defeat swordsman, who are at a disadvantage in reach if you use it properly. You aren't sure if you believe them, but hey, the logic is sound right? Couldn't hurt to try!
Normal people are the easiest to manipulate. Too smart and they have an annoying tendency to catch wind of your plans, too dumb and, in the words of a certain pirate, "You can never tell when they are about to do something incredibly...stupid."

But at the moment, the extent of what she can do with it is mostly this:

And because I don't know when to stop... Tamar's adventures in tree climbing. Hector is not amused.

Pan laughs at your poor tree-climbing skills! Which she has every right to do, considering she lives in one. ;) And I, too, find myself wondering what a chibified Pan would look like. Probably even more boyish. :P

I also wonder what sort of prize Pan would get from the mission... Any ideas?
EDIT: Pixie ninja'd me with a PM. Man's a real ninja, I tell you...

So for a diplomatic mission, we're sending Sylvantas... and Ben. Yup, can't see this ending badly, no sir.
