Adell asked for a quest for Anjali and Hector. How could I refuse them?
Quest No ???: The Exquisite Corpse
Quest Takers: Ajlaji Torvantine (Eli Gone Crazy) and Hector Erastus (Adell)
The temple seems a safe place to hide from the so-called “antifactionists” out for guild blood, but you’d be lying if you said it wasn’t a little weird there. Lately, you’ve been hearing things. The sound of sobbing echoes in the darkness of rooms you’re sure were empty. Things move on their own, and people’s dreams are growing darker and stranger the longer they stay.
Clearly something supernatural is afoot. Something which has been waiting for a very, very long time. Your pain echoes its own. Perhaps you can find a way to ease this creature’s torment.
[*]So yeah, the Temple is haunted. Whoo! The sound indicates something female, but that’s the only detail you know and even that’s not a certainty.
- Fight it? Sure you can try that, if you know how to fight a ghost. But perhaps not all opponents deserve such wrath? Anyway in this instance, it might do more harm than good.
- Use your heads. Not every battle requires a sword. No, not even your battles.
- Don't I have the BEST referential titles?

In light of that fact, Adell, it is now your mission to make some character (Hector or an NPC) say, "You'd best start believing in ghost stories, Miss Torvantine... you're in one!"

Pshhhh, like you need to believe in ghosts in order to fight them. Ben never bothered with that!

The reference shall be made, if only because Hector will have an eyepatch starting this quest

Let me get this straight, Eli. You’re in a world which has so far thrown at us:
- Time Manipulation Plots
- Maps that can trace your position a la the marauders
- A spell which can manipulate an entire city to violence
- Magic Healers
- Fungus Monsters
- Naga
- Vampires, which are effectively the walking dead
...And Anjali
does not believe in ghosts?

Friggin’ arbitrary scepticism, always good for a laugh.

As my favourite book once said, my dearest: You can't fight something you don't believe in

Well, someone could just think they're something complicated that only
resembles ghosts, and still press the trigger of whatever special gun they're given to kill it. *shrugs with a grin*

To her, those things have an explanation, or don't matter. Ghosts are in her mind, not floating around, yelling "Boo!"

So, then, what are the semi-incorporeal clumps of sentient smoky essence drifting through the temple? Would Anji just ignore them, even if they decide to cause some havoc? (And by havoc, I mean physical harm.)

I guess we'll find out.

So Eli mentioned that there has not been nearly enough Julius imagery in the Fc lately. I decided to fix that.
Look, it's old paper effects and everything :3

A fairy's ghost, huh? Who'd have thought it? And wrapped up in her story are more mysteries about this so called 'Arthur' and his kingship. By ending her suffering you have freed the temple from her curse and things should return to... well ,whatever passes as normal in your little hideout, if with more restful sleep. The others will reappear, and perhaps the two of you have both taught, and learned something from the experience: pain is an incredibly enduring emotion. One which cannot be easily overcome, but to wallow in that can be the blunder of a life.
Well done.
The Exquisite Corpse: Quest Completed
Rewards:- Hector is now the proud owner of a set of fairy-made armour. Light, and extremely durable, possibly with magical effects but that's unlikely. At the very least it doesn't weigh half as much as that kind of armour should and magically welds itself to the shape of it's user.
- Anji has a GREEN SWORD. I feel the need to put emphasis on the GREEN. Not only that but it's a sword constructed by fairy magic. Ought to be interesting to see what she does with it. Also it goes beautifully with her eyes
