It's not like she couldn't get wood chips from the lumberjacks. And besides, while this specific format of spell wasn't foreseen, Luca and Asha were already working towards that kind of goal for a while, so it's perfectly reasonable that she built a stockpile of blank ones over the time she spent in the castle. I don't think we need to complicate things with a supply chain. @.@
Oh, good. I figured it was something like that.
One wonders how exact the carvings even have to be to work. Would breaking them 'break' the effect', as in Supernatural?
When Legias fought with Luca, she shattered one he attempted to use on her before he could activate it. So breaking them would, assuming they had not already activated it, prevent them from using the talisman.
How I've been describing them so far, holding the talisman gives you the specific knowledge needed to cast that spell (which spell is infused in the talisman depends on the rune carved into it), once you cast it once however, the talisman loses the magic charged within it and the knowledge disappears. The release of magic from the talisman also usually causes it to break.

That sounds a lot like how the Lorewarden works

Another difference is that the talismans are limited to what Asha knows and is capable of. She originally could not cast the rage spell, and only by calling on the magic of the Minotaurs horns was she able to learn the spell.
Also, Shadow Kavros (probably should have been an extra line or two to confirm that though), and he already succeeded in killing his host. O-O;

...I keep double posting in this thread, guys, it's not good.
But still, it was for a good cause this time. Here is Eli's somewhat belated birthday present. Based on a scene in
this sidestory, by Agoraoptera and Eli.
Aaaand while I'm at it, I took the liberty of sketching Likovya, Russett Divinity's character. I hope it's a decent likeness, Russ, I guessed a bit.

The adorable. It's off the charts! :3
I have to make another note though.
Given 4th of July and festivities and people being busy all around, I was asked for a extension on this turn. So, postponed the deadline to Thursday, July 11th, 23:59 EST.
That's for all the remaining quests, so it makes more sense than repeating all of them next turn and only being able to send one new pair out.

She's lovely, Scarab! (To be honest, I hadn't much planned her face out... or much beyond short hair, smallish.) And she even has a cape!
Wow, I sound excited. Maybe staying up until twelve-thirty after a day of writing isn't the best plan.

Just to make sure things are clear on this, the rioter-talisman shouldn't be having any effect on her unless she used it, which would cause it to break. (as I explained above, the knowledge to use the spell is only good for one cast of it, and the effects of the rage spell are temporary at this point) So odds are, this is all in her head or something o.o

Very good time, or very bad, depending on which viewpoint you take. Personally, I favour the former.

And with
that, I regret to inform you all that I must withdraw myself from the active player pool for the time being. I look forward to when I may rejoin.
