Sheesh. There are, like, three other guilds, you know!

Three other guilds and one not-quite-neutral-any-longer-Knife-Nut. Likovya would be willing to drop by and fight, if only because she's starting to get slightly addicted to the excitement.

Yes, well, we're going to need her at this rate, I hope she's prepared to drop a lot of people on this floor in the near future. We should make it a rule that you only get to be in Storm and Drive after you've been brutally stabbed somewhere. It's like an initiation ceremony, only more painful.

Unless Victin or Shane have anything planned? Yeah I think it's safe to react now.

So... I don't know what's the best way to break out the news so...

We're calling a two week hiatus on FC, until July 30th.

Things have been a bit hectic recently and, we need a time to catch our breath. While we could just not directly play and let some light quests keep some activity, doing that would still need us to watch over the game, so a hiatus is actually the way to go.

If you're working on Side Stories or AUs or things like that, that's fine. But we'll hold back on posting the next turn or assigning underground quests. The GM side just needs to take a break.

SDo yeah, tamar'sd getting some new threads. He probably needs them give, you know, the massive amounts of blood on his current outfit. I don't think Floating Castle is set in an era which has VanishTM. (Also it is really hard to find a font which may conceivably have been utilised for graffiti in the Middle Ages.)

Image

The base colour for Storm and Drive is apparently grey, with the individual characters choosing their own colours on top of that.

Larger version can be seen right here.

That's an awesome drawing Scarab. I like the way the fire is.

Also do you know the site dafont? It has plenty of different fonts, including many medieval ones. Though I think a medieval graffiti would be almost handwritten looking?

Thanks Vic. And yes indeed, I know of dafont, where do you think the font in that drawing came from? :D Asking an artist if they know about dafont is a little like asking a Subway worker in the UK if they know about the toasted subway tax ;)

First, let me start off by saying that Pixel and I are very much OCD. We are also very invested in this RP, and we love the characters and settings that have come of it. So, it should not come as a surprise that we get burned out on the RP every now and again. Such a burnout caused the break that will be resolved on the 30th, and I expect that in the future more breaks will be common.

An issue has presented itself, one that neither Pixel or I expected when he launched this RP in January. This issue is one of time, not yours, unfortunately (because you know I’d love to waste all of your time and more), but rather our time. Free time to be specific. The running of FC tends to be very time-consuming, as we are pretty much involved in most of what gets written. I’m personally amazed at the progress this RP has made in my own writing skills, and I want to keep the castle running as much as I can. However, the issue is that neither Pixel or I will have much time to devote to the running of the castle, and I don’t want to see it stagnate if we both have to desert it.

Our solution was simple, invite another GM, a person we trusted to stand for us when we couldn’t, and someone we knew wouldn’t freak out when we told them our crazy ideas for the place. As it is, we're already struggling to keep up with the game. We need help, and with three of us, we'll probably have someone around to keep the castle afloat. So, as of today, Qara-Xuan Zenith is a GM in her own right. She has the canon-cannon as much as Pixel or I, and will be helping both of us keep FC running in between work and school.

Of course, the same rules apply in that she can't write quests for Ben or GM her in any way, boring stuff we’ve already been over, blah blah blah.

We did consider slowing it down to a more manageable speed, but that idea had some issues and some risks we feel like we don't want to take. Hopefully we made the right call between the two choices.

And Qara, welcome (officially) to the GM team. :D

Okay so first things first Please scroll up and read Eli's last comment, it's important and me double posting is pushing it off-screen.

Second things second... Look I started sketching pan a while back and... um... things got a tiny bit out of control. Just a tiny bit. :? Can't say I ain't proud of this, though :) Hope you like, Issy.

As promised my reactions while writing the latest quests:

-Okay let this be the start of the record, I've made the doc but haven’t linked anyone to it yet.

- pre-writing tomfoolery: “Shane:I’ve also invited eli to the doc since she said she wanted to be here
(okay so where are we starting out here?)

Pix: Ok... So... uhm... timline...
1Marcus needs to get the gem fragments. (Optional on screen)
2Get Lori to reassemble the gem. - stuff starts to happen.
3???
4Profit!

Eli: Youll be meeting a character we have been hiding. :) no points for guessing the true nature of this character.
Shane: My drama senses are tingling, they’re saying...great evil
Pix: You’ll see... you’ll see.... XD Eh, close enough.

-Lori calls Marcus an idiot right out of the gate I'm touched [/sarcasm]

-Marcus arrives in the past(note:not really the pat but I thought it was at the time) Pix says: “Now the fun starts >:D” I'm....more than a little worried by this

- in chat: Pix:“but you'll probably find your old friend gecko there.
Well, one of them, anyway.
More is overkill.”
reaction:THAT- [[REDACTED FOR GROSS OVERUSE OF EXPLITVES]]

- Pix:“when you're ready to kick off the next event you'll find a guy just strolling about, possibly looking for you, (and the behemoths don't even look his way.)” Reaction: Um...okay

-Shard stops behemoth in tracks, My reaction is Marcus' reaction. Also I went bug eyed.

-20TH FLOOR?!?!?! I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT IS EVEN THE HELL...ASDFGHJKLQWERTYUIOZXCVBNM

-Shard is a bastard

-They did a good job with this villain I really hate him

-I reiterate: SHARD IS A BASTARD

-Oh what the hell am I gonna do about this?

-Great so in summary, I just gave a malignant...person? Entity? Something a superpowerful artifact and hope he heals Anji. I dont see how anything could go wrong with this plan
I say we nuke it from orbit...its the only way to be sure.

This would actually be a really fun idea. :|
Why should we do the right thing?
-Well... because it's the right thing to do, there's no other good reason.

Am I a bad guy trying to be good, or a good guy trying to convince himself that he's not the bad guy?
