I just want to know how a thread with less than 1k posts can garner nearly 12k views.
.... also how are those quests going, guys?

*hides from the mods*

Maybe we're just desperate?

Or maybe the tv tropes pages has generated enough interest from the deeper parts of the internet and...
now they're...
watching...
CLOSELY!

Gee, Blurry, let's just crank up my paranoia.

Yeah that's not a terrible idea at all

Eli, every time one of us posts, all of us view it. And then we view it again every time we need to double-check a reference, and again to grab the link to stick in the timelime, and again to reread the quest assignment, and again to marvel at how amazing someone's writing is.
I am not calling off the paranoia patrol, but it's not inconceivable to reach that many views with just us. XD

Well for the main RP thread we've got about 3000 views for 57 posts....I think there must be at least some people who are watching but not playing.

The easiest way to make a thread not be red anymore is to click on it, and then you've viewed it and it goes back to being blue. For someone with my type of mild OCD, this is what you do with every thread regardless of whether you're interested in reading it.
That's one way a thread can chalk up a lot of views.

Look there is an easy way we can settle this.
Hey, you. Yes you reading this and worried were gonna be all weird if you tell us you're watching but not playing. Don't worry about it, we don't mind if your being a lurker, a lot of us were lurkers to start out with. We would just like a confirmation that you exist if in fact you do exist and are reading this. Please?

Anyway, before this derails further....
The end of this particular arc-thingy is coming up, and we're hoping to have it up sometime today or tomorrow.
Krika and Vic, how's that late one coming?

...I must apologise to our lurkers, this happens every day
In all seriousness, though, we have a TV tropes page for Floating Castle which is connected to the Ominous Floating Castle trope, I imagine a few people might turn up that way, and are of course welcome to either join in or lurk to their hearts content :3 More log ins is good for the website, too.

We are doing the best, but our schedules haven't been the most synced up, and we weren't able to meet up at all this weekend, which sucked.

Apropos of nothing... Just wondering if There Are No Therapists is fully in play, or if there's a character out there with some hidden psychiatric training.
Because if so, you should speak up. I think some... well, most... no, wait, all... of the characters could use it.

Dude, there are ONE HUNDRED floors. If we stuck around this long each time, we would be eighty before we got halfway through.

Well to be fair, a WHAM moment is a moment that comes out of the blue and completely changes your perspective of everything that happens. This changes nothing for me. I had EVERY confidence that Ben and Nova would kick butt, and it was highly likely that Nova would be the one to do it, because this is narrative and we are writers.
So no, not really a Wham moment, at least not in terms of the trope definition. Awesome though

I won't mention that the original draft had a death in it then. >_>
Who gives a damn about whether it aligns perfectly within the set limits of the trope? It's a story, not a math problem. I'm not a fan of following tropes or narrative cliches in general. I think it makes the story less impacting, and promotes tired cliches rather than exploring new ways of storytelling. So while you may have had every confidence in mine and Qara's characters and writing abilities, the fact that you predicted and feel confident enough in your predictions to mention it, makes me disappointed with how the story wrote itself.

Some points, if I may.
1 Tropes are not bad, They are merely narrative conventions that appear in a story
2 Cliches are purely subjective, there is no real standard for judging them
3 Don't rail against the story, you two did a good job
4 Good stories are superior to new ways of storytelling.
