OKAY this thread is for keeping track of all the different organizations in the Castle! Please don't post directly in this thread; if you have any questions or comments or complaints or missing information please let us know in the Official Discussion Thread.

There are so many different groups in the Castle! What if you run into one and you don't remember what it's like? Or you WANT to run into one but you don't know what exists to run into? Or you're making a new character and you don't know what the options are for joining guilds? So yeah that's why this thread exists.

Heroes Unlimited

About: Heroes Unlimited is split into two contingents, the Light and the Dark. The Light side operates legitimately, primarily to help those who are in need. The Dark side is composed mostly of criminals who act as vigilantes, committing acts of violence against those who they feel deserve it. This description subject to review by the guild leader.
Alliances: Heroes Unlimited is loosely allied with the Guard and the other city guilds.

Heroes Unlimited has no active-player guild leader and is by default accepting new members.

The Church

About: The Church is a religious organization that offers free healing and shelter to any injured adventurers.
Alliances: The Church is loosely allied with the Guard and the city guilds.

For the purposes of character creation, the Church does not count as a guild.

The Guard

About: The City Guard serves many of the administrative tasks that would be performed by the centralized leadership if the city had one. They are in charge of keeping the law and maintaining the peace, as well as protecting the city and its residents.
Alliances: The Guard works in tandem with the city guilds, and is loosely allied with the Loreknights.

The City Guard is currently accepting new players.

The Goblins
Leader: Yester

About: The goblins consists of the collective of goblins living in the Floating Castle. They are a mining based society and have the use of explosives, thanks to Mirae and Darren.
Alliances: The goblins are very loosely allied with the humans of the city. They also have some sort of understanding with the kobolds, and a very loose agreement with the rakes.

The goblins do not count as a guild for the purposes of character creation, primarily for the very simple reason that new characters, being human, cannot be goblins.

The Loreknights

About: The Loreknights are a guild dedicated to knowledge and science. They are based in the vast library, and are known to frequently conduct magical experiments.
Alliances: The Loreknights are loosely allied with the Guard and the other city guilds.

The Loreknights are currently accepting new players.

Assassins' Guild
Leader: The Guildmaster

About: The Assassins' Guild is not numbered amongst the city guilds. It is an illegal guild of cutthroats-for-hire.
Alliances: The Assassins' Guild is loosely allied with the Dark Carnival.

The Assassins' Guild does not count as a guild for character-creation purposes.

The Anti-Guild
Leader: Soren Kavros

About: The anti-guild is a defunct anarchist organization which set itself up as an enemy to the guilds, their members, and anyone even loosely allied with them.
Alliances: The anti-guild had no known alliances.

The Anti-Guild does not count as a guild for character-creation purposes, primarily for the very simple reason that it no longer exists.

Dark Carnival
Leader: Cloth

About: The Dark Carnival is an organization of evil clowns, many of whom have unusual magical abilities. They are based in the Underground. Their goal appears to be to spread sorrow and despair.
Alliances: The Dark Carnival is loosely allied with the Assassins' Guild.

The Dark Carnival does not count as a guild for character-creation purposes.

Sky Chasers
Guild leaders: Likovya, Alexander Curtiss

About: The Sky Chasers is a guild dedicated solely to adventuring and exploring.
Alliances: Sky Chasers is de facto allied with Heroes Unlimited (due to member overlap), and loosely allied with the other city guilds and the Guard.
