I tried to poke the image with steganographic tools and got nothing. I'm terrible with those, so I'll list what I actually did:

• Skipped the tools that don't specify the algorithms they use.
• Aimed for LSB and the like, because they are the simplest and the most common for applications like this one (the GM wants us to find the answer eventually, not spend our lifetime cracking it - there are countless other algorithms, most of which accept some parameters that increase the search space even further).
• Tried to use OpenStego, which I recall was used to solve the last Cabal puzzle. Turns out, it only works on PNG, and converting the image (which, assuming perfect conversion, should retain the hidden message) still gives no results.

Of course, you are free to try it yourself. I liked the VSL kit (visually), but I'm not sure it even worked properly.

My conclusion is that there probably aren't any messages that are meant to be extracted with dedicated tools. To put it simply, unlocking it would require the exact same tools and parameters as locking it, which we can't know. There might be other, less formal ways to hide a message, which would require a notepad, photoshop, and squinting.

Also, this is just a hunch, but I think the binary is a red herring. Won't stop me from examining it later...

Binary, as I learned, is very tough to decipher. Red herring? Could be, you have a point, but examine it just in case.

So, new post - this one is directed at me as a reply.
This one is much more straightforward. The binary translates to "do not understa" (in ASCII). I assume the demotivator title reads "DVERSIT", which probably means the picture was cut from a demotivator about adversity. Googling one now. UPD: Can't find it, it's probably custom-made and/or not indexed.

And no, I don't know what exactly this means yet - I stand by "shut up and calculate" approach. But the tweet does seem to hint that we wasted too much time. Oh, and googling that particular rhyme only returns this very tweet.

Mid-post UPD: I have googled up this handy thingy, and it told me "Perversity" also fits. But if you look closely, 1st and 4th letters in the image are slightly different, so it can't be "Perversity".
