I've, in fact, stumbled upon the announcement by accident - I wan't visiting TV Tropes for a while, but somehow still jumped in right in the beginning. Archive panic is my cryptonite.
Also, I've come up with the idea about the guardians, and I guess I like bragging a little bit too much.

I wrote a story with a guardian that wasn't selected, and I was one of the recipients/uploaders of a piece of the URL that eventually led us to the Minds and Matters blog. I found out about the happenings from mr.A and have watched the footage. Im still pretty lost, and would like someone to help me catch up. I dont know much but im rather intruiged by the wall itself, Id like to discuss where it came from and exactly why its breaking... iv lurked for a while and u guys say its some monster on the other side of the wall... I have my own idea but im not sure where to put it.

Also, a great way to catch up is via this timeline. It's long (frighteningly so), but it's very thorough.
