So...here are the results.

I'm happy that Wreck it Ralph, Frankenweenie and Les Miserables made it onto the list, but.......

WHY THE FIRETRUCK

DID RISE OF THE GUARDIANS NOT GET PICKED.

WHY THE FIRETRUCK

ARE THE HUNGER GAMES, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES AND THE AVENGERS NOT EVEN THERE.

WHY THE FIRETRUCK

ARE THE ACADEMY SO STUPID SOMETIMES.

OK, raging done.

Anyway:

What do you guys think of the nominations this year?

It's a fine by bunch if choices

Avengers does have best visual effects nomination but yeah no love TDKR, ROTG or The Hunger Games is annoying (I'm still irked by Tron Legacy's visual effects snub mind you)

Films from the first half of the year tend not to be nominated for whatever reason.

Also, if Anne Hathaway doesn't get Best Supporting Actress, it's a crime against nature.
Not a distress call. Honest.

Academy = Goldfish Aquarium. It's the only logical explanation.
But I shouldn't be on this thread, I simply don't care at all about Oscars and stuff like that. Couldn't resist the snark though.

Yes.

The only film I'm unhappy about a lack of Best Picture nom is Moonrise Kingdom. That should've been on there instead of Les Mis, imho.
