The Wall Will Fall riff's

Postby Lordxana0 on Wed Jan 30, 2013 1:14 am

Hello and welcome. Come here to suggest movies for Guyshane and me to riff on. If you wish you can join in on your suggestion (magic number 3). Dates for the riffs will be completely random but we will get to them as soon as we can.

Two rules.
1. No nudity, this is a family show (still can be rated R)
2. Has to be on Netflix.

How will we be recording these/watching them together o.o (If we wish to join in, that is, cause I would love to do so for one or two in the future)
If you ever need to ask the questions "Am I needed? Should I help them?" The answer is always yes. Always.

...and?

*trollface*

But seriously, though, if Rain Man's on Netflix, let's do that sometime. It's pretty much the most insulting movie I've ever watched (context helped, admittedly), and I think being part of a riffing team, or listening in from the sidelines, would probably be the only way for me to get through it without violence ensuing.
So, apparently I'm the sanest madman this side of the international date line. Seems legit.

I actually really liked Rain Man. Of course, it helps that it stars Dustin Hoffman, and that I watched it in one of my favourite classes, with no connection to the course material (a lot of people were away on a trip, so my teacher decided to take random movies that he didn't hate and show them to us  ).

Oh, if you want an easy target that's terrible but not vomitously so, I would go with the Dungeons & Dragons movie. Bad if you aren't a tabletop RPG player; horrendous if you are.

If you're up for something that falls under So Bad, It's Good, you have to watch They Live. Anvilicious story, famous for a ridiculously long wrestling-based fight scene in the middle, and also the original source of one of the most famous Pre-Asskicking One Liners (and, in fact, the former Trope Namer) in existence. Mocking it is actually becoming a family tradition for my relatives.

If you want something that's surprisingly difficult, try The Lost Skeleton Of Cadavra. See, it's a recent homage to cheesy 50's sci-fi movie... the kind of ones that appeared in Mystery Science Theater 3000. Thing is, it's so intentionally bad that it's actually a challenge to come up with really good riffs.
I smiled when the wall was built, for I knew we were creating something incredible. And I smiled when it cracked, for the world would soon see what we had wrought.

The sequel to The Secret of Nimh >.>

I will not speak it's name.

Maybe All Quiet on the Western Front? It's epic. And I do not care that it's an old movie, some old movies are awesome.

Pyro, the point of rifftrax is to make fun of bad movies. I'm not entirely certain if your suggestion would apply.

I could not make fun of All Quiet On The Western Front. It's too depressing to be funny.

The Highlander sequel, which, incidentally, does not exist, would make for the PERFECT riffing subject.

Which one? The bad one, the other bad one, the other other bad one, or the sequel to the other other bad one that is actually the worst of the lot?
