Livestreaming Shenanigans!

Can't recall if we had a thread for this already, and it's not that big a deal if we did anyhow. The important thing is we are going to make Xana play X-Com and take our strategic advice to see how long it takes us to get slaughtered by the invading forces of the aliens.

Heeey, are you interested in Rogues? Perhaps the legacy of them? What about metroidvania style dungeon crawling (if you don't know what this means, don't worry about it), played by yours truly? No? Not even you, random individual I am asking? Oh, well then nevermind then.

But for everyone else, I would like to do a livestream of a new game that came out recently for PC/Mac's called Rogue's Legacy. Perhaps sunday or monday, maybe both! Really depends on how busy I end up being. I will try and shoot for a sunday stream though if I can.

So basically, hang around here Sunday, June 30th around 5-6 PM, EDT (use that link, see what time it is in Jersey and add or subtract until you are at your current time to get the time difference between us)

All this is assuming it'll run decently. If it ends up being to difficult to stream, then I will fall back on some other games instead, such as Fire Emblem or Earthbound,
If you ever need to ask the questions "Am I needed? Should I help them?" The answer is always yes. Always.

I shall be starting the livestream shortly. I will be trying to play Rogue Legacy, and probably die a lot. I don't really have a specific timeframe here so we'll just play for a few hours or so. Keep in mind, there will most definitely be lag. My computer is a little too old to run this at good settings. If the lag becomes too unbearable, then I will switch over to some other game or something that's less intense on my cpu :/

Thanks to those who joined me for the first of potentially a series of streams related to Rogue Legacy

If you guys are interested, I'm totally fine with streaming my playthrough all the way through (hopefully I can be mildly entertaining somehow the whole way through :P)

That said, if you guys want, I'll try and do another stream continuing our playthrough tomorrow, sometime around 12-1 PM, EDT Way earlier, as a result of no work tomorrow.

Maybe 1 PM or a bit after? I may not be able to quite make it to 12 PM EDT.

it would be a miracle if I actually start directly at 12, it's more like a ballpark than a strict schedule, but I'll push it closer to 1 if you'd like :D

Time to throw one of many of my extensive collection of hats into the proverbial ring, because if all things go as planned, then hopefully this week will mark the start of A Mimsy Borogove Plays Touhou! (Badly, of course.) Since I don't like the PC98 games much (Read: I FREAKING SUCK AT THEM) we'll be starting with the first game in the PC series, the sixth game total - Touhou Koumakyou: The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Since there's a sort of plot reboot for the PC games, you won't really be left much out of the plot by starting there. In any case, I'll be trying for a 1cc of EoSD in real time so that we'll get the true end instead of a bad one, and giving helpful commentary/nonsensical panicked ranting as we go. Also, if we have time, we'll be going through some of the other interesting content of the game, like the famously useless spellcard Icicle Fall ~ Easy, and, of course, the Extra Stage, and its equally famous boss battle, Flandre Scarlet, owner both of the most remixed song in all of Touhou and several absolutely EVIL spellcards.

Look forward to it!

You mean I finally get to see what Touhou actually IS? Cool.

Y'know, when I first saw "Rogues", I thought you meant Rogue, and Roguelike games. I was disappointed.

And if people want to see someone suck at Touhou and fail... I can do that. (not really; I'm okay at Touhou, but I can't 1CC outside of Easy)

Speaking of roguelikes...
I might be interested in maybe attempting to try and see if I can livestream something... And what came to mind was... Pokemon Mystery Dungeon! :D

That said, I think I'd like to chat a bit about this on chat before committing to anything... But yeah, it'd be like the old time Rogue, only with pokemon.

So, in accordance with what I said as a joke previously, I may just follow through on streaming me playing Dark Souls completely and totally blind. Acting on your recommendations alone, I bought the game and DLed it just now, and I have no clue what it will be like, other than really really hard.

Sound interesting?

That said. I wish my laptop could handle it... The game looks really really fun to play.

Speaking of schedules for livestreaming, since everything seems to be in order, I'll be starting my first Touhou Let's Play tomorrow at, arbitrarily, 3:00 PM U.S. Central Time. The channel link is right here, so don't miss it! :D

Borogove plays Touhou now, and is preparing. Please watch warmly until it is ready.

Awww, I won't be able to attend. What a pity :/

Well, OK, I just tested everything and I can stream Dark Souls just fine. I have "started" a game already, in that I generated a character because I figured people didn't want me to be fiddling with appearance options for half an hour in stream. I've watched through the opening cutscene and fiddled with the buttons on my controller, but I have not left the cell thing I start in.

Well, I could change the time, then, if you like. As I said, it's totally arbitrary. When would be best for the most people? Suggestions welcome! :3

Since all streams are recorded, anyone can go back and watch them later. That said, I'm bored. Who wants me to just start playing Dark Souls and see how I die?

Wednesday is just a bad day for me XD

I suppose I could watch if it were earlier (lemme see... 18:00 Greenwich Time?), but I'll leave the time to other people to pick so they can watch too.

Alright, then. After consulting several people, I've found that most, if not all of them won't actually be able to attend the LP, so I've decided to reschedule. Could everyone list the day and time range that's best for them? Thanks.
