I'm pretty sure most of you have played at least one Pokémon game or seen the anime

That's why I've decided to create a topic for it

Here we can talk about anything Pokémon, and maybe even organize battles against eachother!
So I'll start by
linking you to the first in a series of Pokémon movie reviews by three reviewers from ThatGuyWithTheGlasses, Linkara, Suede and JewWario! If you're not too familiar with Pokémon this might be an interesting watch too

It's pretty dark

Didn't we already have a thread for this?

I... don't think so? Why would I start a whole new thread if we already had one?

Because you forgot it existed, just like the calendar and video game thread

Well, while Pokemon has come up multiple times, there isn't a dedicated thread to it.
It's pretty well established that I play. I occasionally do competitions (typically official doubles battles) - not sure just how ready anyone here would be for taking me on.
Way back in early 4th Gen, I was even in an online league... I had a truly monstrous Rock type team.

I like playing Pokemon, though it's mainly as a hobby whenever there's nothing else to play. I'm still trying to complete the Unova Dex on Pokemon White, felt like at least should complete one of those once, but Nintendo is not making it any easier, what with all those legendaries that need to be traded >.>

Heh. I play the games, Nuzlocking them pretty much exclusively since I discovered that, and enjoy them (still have as yet to finish White 2 though...I really should).
I don't play competitively at all, although at one point I did join "Pokemon League" type thing as the Ground gym leader. Unfortunately, that happened pretty much at the same time as it was dying. It was still pretty fun though.

I never really got out of the first 250, but of those, I'd go with Haunter.

I remember when I was younger that if I were a Pokemon trainer, I'd collect "pretty" Pokemon. Dragonair, Goldeen, Pidgeot, Ninetails, Persian, Dewgong, they were all on the list, and I wasn't opposed to Arcanine or Rapidash either. Or the Eeveelutions. Or Mew.

I have to admit, I'm tempted to dust off my copy of Black 2 and challenge folks to see if my Rock team is still triumphant. It's undergone quite a few iterations, but I think I still had a mighty one, even after retiring The Shuckle Of Doom.
Oh, and since I can't resist, a few more of my faves - Starmie (it was always just cool), Rhyperior (just freaking badass), Shuckle (you can't stop it; you can only hope to contain it - and I've seen some ubers that couldn't), Absol (just so much to love there), Cleffa (I refuse to accept anything from the series is cuter than Cleffa), Relicanth (seriously), Hippowdon (because hippos are badass, seriously), Whimsicott (such a troll), Carracosta (turtles rule), and Galvantula (just love the concept).

I haven't even finished my White 2 playthrough... I kind of got disappointed that they reused so many things from the first part. I mean, I know it's the same stuff always, but that was just too much >.<

- What music do you remember the most from any Pokémon game? For me personally,
this always gets stuck in my brain

Also, some of my faves:

Cloyster just looks badass with those spikes O.o
Steelix has DAT JAWLINE
Tropius is a goddamn dinosaur with giant leaf wings on its frickin back
Mothim has cool wings too, and nice antennae. I also like his cry

Cofagrigus is a wicked sarcophagus that has grown evil ghost hands and if that's not enough LOOK AT THAT TWISTED SMILE
