The year is 2071 and humanity is able to access different parts of the entire solar system through hyperspace gates. Due to an incident in 2022 that caused the population Earth to be largely eradicated, many have moved on to different parts of the solar system. Mars has become the new metropolis of humanity, but corruption infects the government and police like a plague, causing a "Bounty Hunter" system to be implemented. The story follows Bounty Hunter Spike Spiegel and his crew aboard a shuttle named The Bebop as they track down criminals in order to make money.

Critically Acclaimed; the show has gone on to receive numerous awards and accolades and is frequently considered one of the greatest Animes of all time. Its philosophical concepts of existence and the influences of the past along with a combination of Science Fiction and Western tropes have been cited as a reason for its everlasting appeal.

I was wondering if any of you guys have seen this show and if not, you should see it.

I've seen it and very much enjoyed it. I'd say even if you're not a big fan of japanese animation, you still owe it to yourself to watch this show. It's not that long, and is just a masterpiece

It's on my watchlist of must see anime

I've heard so much about this show and based off what I've seen it looks exactly as it was hyped to be.

I think it's way overhyped - the music was the only thing from the series that I'd recommend. The series as a whole was style over substance. If we're going to discuss Shinichiro Watanabe, I have to say that Samurai Champloo was a much more cohesive and developed story, plus it was a pretty good peek into the attitudes and conflicts within Shogun-era Japan even accounting for all of the anachronisms.
