So, I saw Godzilla yesterday.

Do you want to know what I think of it?

Fan. F[EXPLETIVE DELETED]g. Tastic! 5/5! 10/10! 100%! A+!

I was expecting to be disappointed by the larger amount of human drama, but they actually balanced it out quite well. Ford, to me, is a very, very likable character, and so is everybody else in the film. The glimpses we get of Godzilla and the Mutos are really satisfying, and the final battle is hilarious due to Godzilla's newfound chubbiness and awesome, as it's a direct upgrade to the man-in-suit battles. I love how they made reference to Godzilla being described in prehistoric and medieval texts in the beginning as an excellent backstory, and how I got my 3 of my WMG Mythology Gag guesses correct! There was indeed a T-Rex toy and there were shots of the city in ruins! It is 9000+ times better than the 1998 movie, too.

Overall, Edwards is awesome, everybody who worked on the movie and contributed in the slightest is amazing, and I really hope the trilogy is as brilliant as the first one.

So, at least where I am, the full moon will fall on June 13th.

Why am I bringing this fact to light, you might ask? Because June 13th is a Friday.

Yes folks, Friday the 13th will be a full moon. At least for me, and probably everyone else here on the Americas. Dunno about people like Pyro or Agora.

To put this in perspective, the last time this happened was in 2000. The next one will happen in 2049.

Just bringing you an exciting new fact!

Just for the record, the phases of the moon are the same everywhere in the world. Otherwise, lunar calendars would be even bigger messes than they are now. ;)

I have no idea-I always thought full moons were a good thing. They're pretty.

Also, all the werewolves should be dead by now.

Will they kill me if I ship Adlock instead of Johnlock? Because, you see, I...er...started shipping them after the 2009 movie-AH WAIT NO NEED TO WORRY WRITERS HAVE BEEN SHIPPING THEM FOR AGES ANYWAY.

OK, once I get back to Hong Kong and my laptop, (I'm on an iPad by the way) Study In Pink, HERE I COME!

Watching Sherlock.

It's awesome. Definitely joining the fandom now.

And I've been busy adding more Mythology Gags to the Sherlock page too...

So, uh.

I'm going to be effectively alone in the house from the 13th through the 16th, and the 17th or 18th through probably the end of the week.

In that time period I am going to have work, but also a lot of free time, and while my usual stuff will fill some of it.....I'm not going to have a lot to fill the rest.

So, um, if anyone wants to do anything, or has anything they want to do, I'd be happy to take part in it, schedule permitting. I'd like to have some people to talk to, or interact with outside of work.

I just watched Deep Breath. That is, Episode 1 of Series 8 of Doctor Who.

Two things:
1. HILARIOUS episode.
2. You know how it takes some time adjusting to new Doctors? Well, I like him already.

So they've tentatively identified Jack the Ripper's identity.

...

The world's just getting smaller and more crowded, isn't it?

So I just started playing Borderlands 2 today, as Zero.

It's fun. It's a Crazy Awesome Fourth Wall Breaking Space Western with an excellent and utterly nuts villain, a Badass Crew of several logic violating vault hunters and a robot who is annoying and Adorkable at the same time.

I liked playing poker with him in Poker Night 2.

The only character in that game that I actually knew from something else was the dealer, GLaDOS.

Give the guy a little credit; he may be loud, but he has a hell of a poker face.

I prefer to think of him as Wall-E on steroids, with zero reliability.

Aw, you didn't like Wall-E? I liked it well enough. Seemed a bit surreal at times (live photos of captains slowly transitioning into CGI fat people comes to mind) but the plot wasn't too bad. You know, for an in-your-face-save-the-Earth type message.
The voices in my head tell me that we saved the world. However, they also told me that George Clooney's face is on the dollar bill, so... meh. The voices are more fun, anyway.

I maintain that Wall-E is primarily a story about a robot falling love. The save-the-Earth message is just the backdrop.
