Okay, on November 1st I'll start to write my novel... So, how does NaNoWriMo keeps your word count and stuff?

Sicon-- there's your confirmation.

Victin-- you enter your word count into the site, and it keeps track of it on your Novel Stats page with pretty graphs.

Yeah, but I just need to click in * and put my novel at it? Just that?

Yes. For most of the month, there will just be a little box on the main page that you type the number in, or you go to Update Novel Info and update your wordcount with the number.

From usually about the 25th on, there will be a box on Update Novel Info called Validate My Novel, where you copy-paste your entire novel in and it calculates and updates your wordcount itself. And it does not save the text of your novel.

I didn't even create my novel yet... I have no idea what the title will be... No synopsis, no nothing!

Se we are three. Well, I have a few ideas, but still I don't know. What are you thinking?

We are four. Well, I have a sort of... vaguie idea that seemed a lot more thrilling to me two weeks ago than it does now :(

Technically, I'm part of your group too, but I probably won't write anything this year.

By the way, Scarab, did my combat advice on the previous page help give you some ideas?

I dunno. If people want to post them, I guess we will. I've already said a lot that I'll proofread stuff for people who want to really polish their novel, so...

For what little combat I think this story is probably going to have, yes, it did, thanks. I need to make things sharper and punchier for a start. On the other hand I... have absolutely NO idea where this years nano is going. It was really exciting me a few weeks back when the idea struck me but now, I'm... just kind of dancing around in on two wheels and being scared to commit anything.

Anyway, Vic, you're planning to write in english or portuguese?

My problem is that I have many ideas, but I can't develop any of them. And I can't write what I think.

If you are writing in Portuguese, I'm sorry, but I won't be able to proofread it. XD You should probably get Pixie to do it. I'm sure he would do a great job.

I was going to write in english but... I dunno. English is better and all, but I guess I know more words in portuguese than english. I think that's one of the reasons I get writer's block (one of the many reasons)
EDIT: But definitively in English

Well whichever is easiest for you, I'd go with, it's a lot of words to write.

Forget choosing! It's all about quantity, not quality, so-- do both! Whenever you run out of words in one language, SWITCH!

Let's just all pretend I'm making sense, okay?

To tell the truth, I thought of doing that
It could become the new Finnegans' Wake
