Well, I don't know about your relation to her to say wheter it was worth grief or not, but I'm gonna guess it was. Congratulations on heartlessness, if it is what you wanted. Sorry, I sounded like a prick there just now.

No seriously, guys, what's with all this "I'm heartless" talk?

Everyone responds differently to different events, not having a certain emotional reaction in a situation where said emotional reaction is usually expected may be unusual (and we should always talk to people about these things if they worry us; you know, experienced people who are professionals and know what they're talking about) but that doesn't make any of you heartless. Hell I've known people who didn't cry when their grandparents died but burst into tears when their budgie did.

I'm not sure why or what made those situations different for you, since... well, I'm not you, and I've always been the over emotional sort, but I'm fairly sure human grief and other feelings are not as clear cut as most people would have us believe.

sorry

I didn't mean to say it. I admit it was a terrible thing to say, and only used the term for lack of a better word. Victin had used that word, so I used it too for convenience.

Ohhh dear, I'm just making things worse by trying to help here, aren't I? :? Sorry, story of my life, people, please don't hold it against me. This is the thing about the itnernet, you see, it's just FAR TOO EASY to come out with stuff without thinking about it, and the next thing you know you've started armageddon or something and are wondering how you all got there.

Nobody here is heartless and nobody here meant to imply anything cruel of vicious, so let's all just forget it ever happened. :)

Thanks. I'm glad that there's reason behind this. You're a relatively good person, Scarab.
And by relatively, I mean as nice a someone can be when they kill folks in The Coffee Room. So that makes you pretty darn good.

Aw thanks <3 Yes, well, everything in moderation, ya know, the coffee room is the ONLY place I kill people... usually. It's actually quite ethically freeing in there ;D

I'll run this through the hivemind before posting, but,
Creepy Child for Pyro? Kid needs more tropes, and he spews Horror references left and right, is monster crazy and as for the "wise beyond their years" he keeps up with us, who are mostly around college.

Not that I'm calling you creepy Pyro. I like creepy, to be honest, so I'm suspect to say that. =P But, I think you fit the archetype.

Yay/Nay?

I can't really tell, I'm usually sleeping when he's here, althought I'd like to speak with him. But that last thread of his... Makes me say "Yay!"

Fascinating. This place is literally filled with masks. From the avatars on our screens, to the falsities in our speech, the lies in this forum consume us. And yet, there is just as much truth in here.

How much is a lie and how much is really us?
The tropes we invoke, are these ours or are they merely our wishes and desires?

Yes. But we can never know which until the additional medium of electronic communication is eliminated. But since it is the same medium that allows us all to communicate from across the globe, it is also necessary.
