Can I haz more tropes?

I will try later, promise. I'm actually starting to think you might be some kind of morality chain for Mister A... if not that then soemthing similar.

I am happy with my tropes :) I have a few (not that I'd resent more!)

Funny. I think Qara called me a Morality Pet or something. I've no clue what that means, even after reading TvTropes.

Some people who act in a rather unlikeable way tend to have someone or something they act considerably nicer towards. That someone or something is a Morality Pet.

For example, say there was an evil warrior-king dude who generally acted like a bloodthirsty jackass, killing or subjugating everyone he came across just for the hell of it, executing subjects on a whim- that sort of thing. If that dude had a daughter he actually loved and doted on, the daughter would be considered a Morality Pet.

(I'm mostly doing this from memory, incidentally- without access to the trope page, I can't give you an exact description, or even a guaranteed accurate one.)

I too wish for more tropes. My four are nice, but they aren't exactly concurrent with my present characterization.

GAISE. This thread is because it's hard for people who are not-you, unless you're the most frequent poster in the world and even then it's hard, to come up with what tropes APPLY to you. If you say "I want more tropes, please" there's nothing I or anyone can DO.

But if you say "I think the following three tropes APPLY to me" (with an optional "because of X Y and Z"), then we can think "hmmmm at least two of those tropes DO apply here. I'll go add them."

(Also, the Morality Pet thing about Agora was mostly a joke. I don't really think he's our Morality Pet. Just mine. Though I have a couple. And I meant it in the looser, not-necessarily-villain sense of "being mean to him qualifies as crossing the Moral Event Horizon"-- sort of how Joss Whedon said that if he wanted to make any Firefly character instantly unlikable, he'd just show the person being mean to Kaylee.)
