Nope I see them too.

I think those are supposed to be angels, or at least their Homestuck equivalent.
Apparently, slightly less weird than most of you.

But she has plenty of different ways to revive :P Though I must say I'm surprised he actually killed her right now. I was expecting to have her unconcious for a while and killed later.

And it was a Just death. I knew it. *burrows under the covers to cry*

God, I'm never gonna get into Game of Thrones because between it and Homestuck, I would never recover.

I don't get how her death was 'just'.

Honestly I am banking on the John with control over the glitch saving her if needed.

Her death was "just" because Aranea used her control over luck to make it land on Just (you can see this happen if you watch the flash carefully). One could also argue that her being controlled by an evil individual is cause enough for her death to be a just act.

Not that it matters, death seriously means so little in this series it's hard to really worry about this

The thing is, whatever way the story goes it won't exactly be uncalled for, because if Jade comes back somehow, it will be because I remember Hussie saying one that the ending would lean more on the lighthearted side of things (somesort of comparison with Earthbound, I don't remember what he said exactly. Otherwise, if Jade stays dead, it will be him just killing another character. Like we didn't expect that. :|

Her being dead means she's just like any of the other dead characters, so it's not like we won't be seeing her again, she'll just have GHOST EYES now :P

You don't exactly have to watch the flash CAREFULLY, it's rather obvious :P

Has anybody in God tier ever died when their clock is on heroic or just though? I forget. You can only be killed in God Tier if you died heroically, or justly and Areana messed with that. I dunno if you CAN mess with it like that, even with other god tiers. Either way yeah, Death is honestly so cheap in the series at this point that I would push for a more light-hearted ended just for some friggin VARIETY.

Calm down Pyro, while your energy is admirable it's both a bit too over the top here, and misplaced: we have rules about not using politics in this forum, remember?

Watch right to the end of the animation, the text is on the screen saying that luck has been used to manipulate the clock.... right? Is that just me.

Anyway if it helps you any, Issy, I honestly doubt it's going to stick. I may be wrong here but ... the powers of the characters who manipulate luck are based on probability, right? So they can win in a situation where there was only a 0.00001% chance of their succeeding, but surely that doesn't mean they can change a certainty with no variation for probability? In which case Jade's death was either certainly justifiable or heroic, or it wasn't. She was either doing something wrong that could only be stopped by her death, or she wasn't.

So in that case, this is only a guaranteed Just Death if the clock has a moral code that agrees with what Adell said earlier: that being possessed is enough to make Jade count as evil, and ergo her death as Justified. I mean, what even qualifies as justified, in the God Tier programming anyway? Does it depend on the person in question? If that were the case, and it only needed Aranea's belief in the justification of her actions, in order to count as just, then why did they NEED to use the god tier luck power to manipulate it in the first place?

If you're not God Tier, then you can die any old way, but if you are, then you can only die one of two ways: if it's Heroic, or Just. A Heroic death is when you die doing something that saves the lives of others, and a Just death is when you are killed in order to prevent something worse. Vriska's death, for example, was Just because if Terezi didn't kill her, it would've created a doomed timeline. If John had taken the Bomb and set it off, thus technically saving Rose and Dave's lives, then his death would have been Heroic. And he'd stay dead.

For Jade, she was killed by Aranea to keep her from being repossessed by the Batterwitch. It's possible that without Aranea's influence, Jade would've died normally and been resurrected a few minutes later, since there's no telling at this point what Jade's actions would've been had she lived, and she wasn't about to kill anybody when she was killed. But since Aranea influenced the clock (somehow), the hand fell on Just, and so Jade will not be resurrected.

...Unless Hussie does something improbable again, iunno.

I mean they can all be dead and it still be light hearted, since "death" as it is defined in this series is pretty much just living, but with the added ability of sifting through memories if you're bored

At least that is how I viewed it. When Jade got crushed I kind of just shrugged, it just didn't seem that big of a deal at this point.

Well... I still don't know if the dream bubbles will ever come to an end. After all, they sort of had their purpose, right?

And about the Just or Heroic death, even though both Jade and Jane are being controlled, they seemed to retain some of their qualities, so I guess it just makes it even harder to tell? :|
