ごめんなさい
It translates directly to "I'm sorry". Pretty much the default response and supposed to be said at once when you realize you did something wrong... It's also less formal.

An attitude adjustment could do you wonders.

Instead of using your mom's email account, you can make a new email account for yourself fairly easily. That would solve some of your problems.

Moving this to off topic, btw, since well, it's not really a main discussion.

Awww! I take a nap for a couple hours and come back to find I've missed the one thing I might have been helpful in. Sorry, guys. Well, I guess helpful is an overstatement, anyway. While I could understand some of the translated message, I'm hardly a grammar consultant in Japanese, and most of the Kanji went way over my head.

Same here. I was going to jump in and then remembered that it's been four years since taking Japanese, and my Kanji was never ery good to begin with, and the grammar was the first thing I forgot.

I was here during the event... But as you can see from the log, the best I can do is have google read it out loud and try to notice if it "sounds funny"...

So I just got this PM, in reply to the Japanese damage-control message:

oh my god my mom posted here?!?
Should I respond? Or is that useless at this point? (and if I do, what kind of response is warranted?)
I would put this in the Gulliver thread, but I think it's par for the course to expect she still might frequent that thread.
