Real or ARG

I might as well ask this. This is sort of a poll, but I can't figure out how to create one. So for your vote I would suggest this: Those of you whom think that WTF Average Joe's claims are real. Put the word "Real". Those that think it's an ARG, put "ARG."

Is there a "Either" option?

Surely, I'm playing along assuming an ARG. And of course I belive it to be an ARG.
But, who can safely say they don't kind of wish it to be real and to be at ground zero when all fiction breaks loose? (Hoping for a complete Wall rupture!)

New vote "Either" is also an option.

As for me I believe it's real, much of the stuff I told about myself actually did happen to me as far fetched and crazy as it sounds.

If assuming it's an ARG helps in the investigation, assume it's an ARG.

If assuming it's real helps in the investigation, assume it's real. Just don't try to convince others, let them decide for themselves.

That's my opinion on the matter.

I'm not thinking about it in terms of "real or ARG." I'm just enjoying it, thinking about it too much takes away from it.

I agree with Adell. In any case, I will analyze things like a work of fiction, because that's what I'm good at. Besides, if TVTropes has taught me anything, it's that a lot of tropes are just as viable in real life as in fiction.

That's the best answer.

I've stated my position indirectly, but here it is: I'm playing an ARG, but I suspend disbelief. I'm interacting with the characters, assuming they are real, but going meta can predict some stuff that can't be dictated by conventional logic. I also like going meta. Always go meta. 8-)

So in other words you are playing a game, but have thoughts on whether or not there is realism to it?

I'm treating this the way I always treat ARGs: as a work of fiction that I am both aware of and part of. It's a habit.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to call you on that one. Really, man?

It's more like treating it as the real deal, until it does something unlikely to happen IRL. And examining it as a game to gain some outside information (like that ending I mentioned - unless you honestly believe that it's all real, you know it's not going to end with the fictional characters walking around, much less with the wall's destruction).

What you believe is your business. I merely wanted to see if I wasn't the only one that thought this was real. So far I am got people on either section. That's as close as not being the only one I am apparently getting.

I am going to assume this is an ARG because if we were to really think the walls of reality were breaking down we would be looked at as insane and be thrown in the loony house. When the walls of reality break and I can snag a sonic screw driver. A working Yugioh duel disk. And all of the Gundams I can steal I will say it is real.

Huh normally most people would say they would eat their words. You can go to Toys R us for the Duel disk and any business depot for holographic projectors. As for the gundam there is a 1/1 Scale statue in the middle of Japan and it's able to move its head so far.

And yet no argument for the sonic screwdriver. By the by moving a head is different than raining destruction and lasers at people I dislike. Like the first wall. Frickin first wall.

The reason I didn't mention the Sonic Screwdriver is obvious. It's an alien artifact. Ergo wait for aliens to give you one.

By that logic, Cerberus should've been in Hades. He wasn't. Also, I'm pretty sure holoprojectors aren't nearly at the level displayed even in the original Yu-Gi-Oh series. The entire argument is moot, anyways, since evidently there's a fair chunk of fictional reality still stuck beyond the fourth wall. Something tells me that if the Reaper armada was about to descend on Earth like in ME3 (and don't bother with the "that's in the future!" stuff, because last time I checked, plague doctors stopped showing up a looooong time ago), I would've noticed.

Then again, that's the beauty of that sort of thing- how do you know exactly what's happening outside your immediate surroundings? For all I know, half the planet may have vaporized in the last fifteen minutes, all of humanity could've been replaced by shapeshifters last night, and the entirety of Canada might well be crawling with zombies right now. There's absolutely no evidence for that, of course, but hey, if you ignore every established fact of reality, then anything possible in theory is possible in real life- and how do we know that reality isn't liable to change the fundamental mechanics of its workings on a whim?

...Oh, look, I'm rambling again. Meh. Back on track, then. What I want to say is, yeah, in your mind it's possible to conceive a world where fiction bleeds into reality, but I sincerely doubt such a thing happening in reality could be supported in any way by scientific fact. We have no reason to believe that the events this site is dedicated to discussing are real, especially since we've been in contact with one of the individuals actually running everything- read the timeline for examples.

No offense but I believe this should be moved to off topic, especially if it's going to continue like this.

Yes really. Look I know what most of you think judging by responses of my claims. I am only on the site to help, not Troll as most of you would say it. I may not have worded it properly, or provided any evidence, and for that I apologize.

We're not saying you're a troll. We're saying you're trying to make yourself more important to the story than allowed.

I kinda think we should discuss this elsewhere, though, since it's not the subject of this particular thread.

YankeeWhite believes everything about this is real, can't wait to meet Cheshire Cat in person and would love nothing more than to see the wall fall!
The person behind the keyboard however is refrained from comment.

Yes, I know it's (sadly) an ARG, but I'll keep it real until it's done. :(

But it would definitely make a great movie, or a amazing real life event! :D :gurt:

Well, either way the goal is to win, so I don't suppose it matters. I'm with the ARGers. It's fun :) The idea of the wall falling fills me with all kinds of curious, yet uncomfortable thoughts, though.

But it would definitely make a great movie, or a amazing real life event!

Definitely although I think a simple, non interactive movie would lose something. It's a great example of the way in which storytelling can be made more enjoyable through multimedia and mass people participation

To be honest, I almost expected for the characters to start stalking us when we shared our addresses.
