I don't think I'll be able to use the voice chat. My parents would freak out if they heard me talking to you, they are the complete opposite of being comprehensible, my mother even more, she wouldn't even hear what I have to say. So, I think I'll stick to the normal chat.

Just by the way, for people who for whatever reason won't/can't be talking in the voice chat, but don't want to feel left out, what some people already there do, when there are people around or with elephants, is LISTEN, and type anything they want to say in the text area of the voice chat. Just so you can have your options open... >_>

Goddamn chat room won't load. Turns out, anything from the ISP that hosts the neatchat domain is failing to load from any device, OS or browser I have. And my phone-emergency-connection is out of commission, so I can't attempt to test it on another ISP.

If anyone has the launch codes, please tell me. Or a good proxy that won't kick me off site due to time limit and allow me to access the administrative controls. That I could also work with.

Apparently the launch codes are not necessary, this time.
The issue was Google DNS that was breaking the connection. Issue resolved by switching DNS service.

At the moment, Neat Chat and my computer are not getting along. I've restarted and it's still not working. I have to go now, but I'll be back and try to sort this out. And I wanted to let people know why I disappeared abruptly and may not be back in the chatroom for a while.

When I had an issue with that, it was my DNS server that wasn't resolving the domain name correctly. Switching DNS resolved. If you want to try it I can guide you to do it.

Well, I'll imagine you're using Windows 7.

1. Open the Control Panel.

2. Open up Network and Internet and go to the Network and Sharing Center.

3. Click on Change adapter settings on the left hand panel.

4. This will bring up a list of adapters present on your computer. Most people will have a Local Area Connection while laptop users will add a Wireless Network Connection and possibly a Bluetooth Network Connection...go ahead and right click on Local Area Connection and click on Properties. Or, if you are on wi-fi right click the Wireless Network Connection.

5. If prompted by UAC, click on Yes.

6. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on properties.

7. In the properties window you will see a few radio boxes with both of them saying Obtain an IP/DNS Address Automatically....we will leave the IP address alone and will change the Obtain DNS....to use the following:

In the Preferred DNS server boxes enter this sequence: 208.67.222.222 (or 8.8.8.8 for Google's DNS)
In the Alternate DNS server boxes enter this sequence: 208.67.220.220 (or 8.8.4.4 for Google's DNS)

8. Check the validate settings upon exit (Optional) check box, click OK, and then Close to finish.

9. Windows will check your settings (if you checked the option above) and you will be finished!

If anything unexpected happens, or it does not resolve the problem, follow it again, but on step 7 change the DNS option back to automatic and everything will be back the way it was before.

Changing the DNS seems, generally speaking, to prevent my computer from connecting to any website. I'll keep working on a solution, but for the meantime it looks like I won't be in the chatroom.
